PRINCIPALE MESSAGE Our devotcd principal, Sister Mary Carmel, contacts the students over the public address System. My dear Students, Angels call her Queen, but they cannot call her Mother. You can. Appropriatcly hâve you dedicated this year’s volume to Mother Mary. Your country, your locality, your school, your teachers similarly honor her—the oldest promise of Heaven to Earth. It was in Eden that God made this covenant; on Cal- vary that He fulfilled it. And scattered ail over the world down through the âges, various shrines of Our Lady are reminders of the frequent renewals she has made of that promise to her children, God s children. Ail the days of your life give yourself more and more to Mary, knowing that in giving yourself to her, you are giving yourself to her divine Son. Make yours a Marian existence. Wirh the sincere confidence and dévotion of a child for its mother, daily go to her in need and temptation, in joy and sorrow, in success and failure. Mary is the most competent teacher in the school of life, the surest guide on the path to Eternal Life, the greatest exemplar of grow th into rhe likeness of Christ. Nationally, locally, domestically, you may not rate in Time, but Marian-steered you will shine for ail Eternity. Lovingly in Notre Dame, M
