SOCIAL STUDIES These American History stu- dents become adept in locating places on the globe and map. Barbara Fellner captures the attention of her listeners while reporting on one of the current problems of modem America in her American Problems class.

Sister Angelee and Sister Baptiste both manage sophomore homerooms. Sister Marie Ruth teaches four classes of Latin I, besides managing a freshman homeroom. LANGUAGES First-year Latin students become acquainted with Auxilium Latinum, a national maga¬ zine written entirely in Latin on the high school level. These juniors, who found the study of French casier after two ycars of Latin, leam the cor¬ rect French pronu nciation from a tape- recording.

JUSTIN — Senior Homeroom, Shorthand II, Typing I and II, Bookkeeping, Student Council Moderator. SISTER JOHN DF DEO — Junior Homeroom, Typing I, Shorthand I, Record Keeping, Read-A-Wee Business Staff Moderator, Assistant Moderator of Stu¬ dent Council. SISTER 1. ROSELLA — Junior Homeroom, Typing I, Shorthand I, General Business. SPEED is the by word for ail second year short¬ hand students as they strivc for the coveted 120 words a minute award. BUSINESS ’Well, there goes my perfect timed writing, laments aspiring typist, Martha Vernier, as the wrong key is struck. Accuracy as well as speed make up the capable typist. Doris Warzala, Jane Quirin, Pat Breeden, Marilyn Lyons Rita Joseph, ambitious business students, are conscientiously preparing to face the challenges of the business world by acquainting themselves with a wide diversity of office equipment. Familiarity with this equip- ment will give them confidence and poise in their future business expériences.
