Art Club Officers-Vice-President Ginny Restivo and President Peggy Geohegan. x4-we 5664 Art becomes a new dimension as an observation of the beauty around us. Through the Art Club, members gained an awareness of the design and balance in everyday scenes. Besides producing their own efforts in painting and sketching, club members visited art galleries and museums this year. Film studies encouraged girls to continue their study of art, and gave them worthwhile suggestions to help develop artistic talent.

5644 One of the chief functions of the Science Club is discovering and cultivating scientific skills and talents among its members. To provide for varying abilities and interests, the club has five distinct divi- sions: general science, biology, photography, physics, and this year's newly-established division, medical careers. This last section was created to satisfy a felt need, since more of our students are now inter- ested in going on in medicine. Individual and group research projects in various divisions are geared to- ward the goal of exhibition at the annual Science Fair in early spring. Weekly meetings of the various sections are as varied as the interests of the mem- bers. General meetings, involving all sections, are held periodically. At one such meeting this year, Dr. Jane Frances Emele of the Warner-Lambert Research Institute addressed the group. Science Fair Winners-Copping first prize in their respective divisions are Fran Hines CGeneraI Sciencel, Linda Valentine Cphysicsl, Fran Abrunzo fBioIogyI, Kathy Imperatore lPhotographyI, Ingrid Verhulst llvledical Careersl. Science Club Officers-Secretary Didi Clark, President Jane DuBois, and Vice-President Jeanette Mignocchi dis- cuss the preparation of an experiment to be demonstrated at a Wednesday meeting.

This year the Sodality aimed at making itself a dynamic part not only of HA's Sodalists, but also of every Christian's life. As an expression of their commitment to the Christian ideal in the modern world, girls worked with the chil- dren of St. Peter's Orphanage and the aged of St. Andrew's Home. Activities also included class dances whose proceeds were sent to help support missions in foreign lands. During Christmas the Sodality officers participated in the tableau of the an- nual Carol Program. Early in February, Sodal- ists spent a weekend at the Cenacle Retreat House in New Brunswick. With March came the Father-Daughter Communion Breakfast, a joint project sponsored by the Fathers' Club and the Sodality. With Holy Mass in the new, spacious auditorium and breakfast at Tammy Brook Country Club, it was not surprising that this year's attendance broke all previous rec- ords. Discussing the program at the communion breakfast, Maryellen Murphy, prefect of the Sodality, asks Rev. Henry Zenorini his opinion of it. Kathy Braun, Vice Prefect, Mr. Edmund F. Sause, Breakfast Chairman, Nancy Schaberg, Treasurer, and Kathy Glynn, Secre- tary, look on. Finding out the joys of helping others, juniors Ann Passaretti, Carol Rovegno, and Peg Pierce play games with the children from St. Peter's Orphanage. 2 Seniors, ready for retreat, await the bus that will take them to the Cenacle Retreat House.
