Dedication Louis Carnicelli: Spanish, Frenchi Social Studies. Louis DiBacco: United States History. Varsity Basketball coach. Mr. Carnicelli will be fondly remembered for the many ways in which he influenced and enriched our lives. He coupled a serious concern for our futures with an easy wit and subtle humor — attributes which lent themselves to the learning processes at work in his classroom and in other areas or our educational and personal contacts with him. Mr. C.” as he is affectionatly known loves to sing, and his beautiful baritone voice often added that additional touch of class to various school programs. May your retirement be that gentle walk of your favorite hymn, Mr. C.”, filled with many years of peace and contentment. Mr. DiBacco's teaching career spanned three decades. He taught at Lincoln Elementary School, Memorial Junior High and Academy High School. While at Academy he was an American history teacher and varsity basketball coach. Under his direction the Academy basketball teams were very successful, and they consistently achieved on a competitive level of which all could be proud. Many of his players went on to participate on a collegiate level, both locally and nationally. The 1974 team holds the distinction of being the first basketball team in Erie history to have an undefeated regular season. During his many years at Academy, Mr. DiBacco was highly respected, by teachers and students alike, for all of his efforts at our school. 2—Dedication
