QW I ' 11 Q vs av coach S George B Mendenhall C Ixrtschc P Gaustad B Parker lx Garoutte R Hunton The 1952 baseball season came to an end on Sunday May ll when the Absarokee Husk1es defeated the Belfry Bats 12 to 13 1n a hard fought hard played game A11 the boys who turned out for baseball and remamed out are to be compl1mented s1nce baseball 15 qulte d1fferent from other sports Seldom do substrtutes get a chance to get 1nto a game but 1t 1S nec essary 1f the team IS gomg to be a good team to have these sub st1tutes 1n the event they are needed The Husk1es had several of these boys and they are as much of the team as those who play the full game Although no troph1es were won th1s season proved to be a suc cess w1th the Husk1es w1nn1ng 3 of 5 games, one be1ng a non con ference game. Not only was the wmmng column above the 1oos1ng column, but the boys learned lots of baseball wh1ch w111 make them one of the lead1ng teams 1n the years to come.
