DEDICATION On December 2, 1960, Miss Marguerite Quinn retired from teaching after forty- five faithful years of service. Miss Quinn has been teaching at Lincoln for twenty-three years although she is originally from Elgin, Illinois, where she attended grammar school and high school. She also went to the University of Colorado, the University of Chicago, and Normal Univer- sity where she received her degree. Before Miss Quinn came to Rockford, she taught in rural schools around Elgin and was at one time principal of a Chicago elementary school. When she came to Rockford, she taught physical education at Church School and in 1937 began teaching at Lincoln. She has instructed classes in both social science and math while at Lincoln. One of Miss Quinnls favorite hobbies is traveling. She loves to travel and has been to forty-eight states, Canada, and Mexico. She also hopes that some day a trip to Hawaii will be possible. Her other main hobbies are gardening and sewing. She is quite accom- plished in both these fields and she enjoys them very much. Throughout Miss Quinn's teaching career here, pupils have spoken of her as one of the best teachers they have ever had. She has certainly been one of the most respected teachers at Lincoln, and the pupils who have had her will keep this respect for her in the many years to come. We of the Annual staff dedicate this Album to Miss Quinn in appreciation for the many good and helpful things she has done at Lincoln during the time of her instruction. We all take part in wishing her the best of luck this year and in all the years to come.
