During the coal strike, the schools were closed for four days, Feb. 23, 24, 27, and 28. Pupils engaged in vacation activities during the unexpected holiday, but teachers stayed on the job and attended workshops. They discussed curriculum problems and planned topics to be presented to consultants from various universities who will assist in the curriculum revision program. C197
