I FUTURE TEACHERS The purpose of this club is to provide an opportunity to inter¬ ested students in the field of teaching. A day of teaching in a. public school has been an im¬ portant activity of this club. Others have included a confer¬ ence at State College, a money making project, and a luncheon. Officers: Pres. Marie Sund; Veep. Jackie Allen; Sec. Jan Jackson; Treas. Betty Atchely. The sponsor is Mrs. Ryan. FUTURE NURSES The purpose of this club is to interest students in personal and community health and to help them decide about a career in professional or practical nursing. The activities have been attend¬ ing a S.N.A.C. Convention, a health career day, and a trip to Edgemoor Farm. Officers: Pres. Mary Fernandez; Veep. Carol Bowlin; Sec. Jean Sanderson; Treas. Judy Haag. RADIO CLUB The purpose of the Radio Club is to increase an interest in the field of electronics and radio amateur operation. They operate the school station and many of them have their own equipment. The Officers are: Pres. J. T. Childs; Veep. Bill Riley; Sec- Treas. Fred Rodly. s i

FRENCH CLUB The French Club was re-estab¬ lished this year. During the year they have shown interest in the culture as well as the customs and history of France. Through this club its members have ob¬ tained a broader and more sym¬ pathetic understanding of for¬ eign problems. Officers: Pres. Pat Hazel; Veep. Esther Rouse; Sec.-Treas. Linda Haselwood; Pub. Chairman John Doggett. Y-TEENS Bowling, skating and swim¬ ming have kept the Y-Teens quite busy. One of the most pop¬ ular activities was the Beatnik Dance which financed their rep¬ resentative to the Y-teen Con¬ ference. The year was ended with a trip to Disneyland. Officers: Pres. Esther Rouse; Veep. Andrea Rouse; Sec. Phyliss Twyman; Treas. Bertha Stafano. CONCILIUM ROMANUM The Latin Club is open to all interested students. The club has parties for their thirty-five mem¬ bers. The Roman Banquet held in May is the highlight of the year. Officers: Praeter Jim Thompson; Propraeter Jo Haile; Quaestor Richard Silva; Scriptor Sutti Ball; Jurisconsultus Brent Beckett.

CALIFORNIA CADET CORPS This is the fourth year the California Cadet Corps has been at Lincoln. They have been a great aid to the school during the past year. They have presented the colors at assemblies and other gatherings, assisted at the football and basketball games, and have participated in drill competitions under the guidance of Major Swift. C.C.C. QUEEN PATTI E KUTCH was selected as the Queen of the first C.C.C. Military Ball. k RIFLE TEAM Through the rifle matches these cadets are given a chance to demonstrate their skill as expert marksmen. They placed Second in the Regional Tournament.
