MODERN DANCE CLUB The purpose of this club is to teach girls how to create something co-operatively and to pro¬ vide an appreciation of the art of dance. The club has attended a symposium at Point Loma High School, State College, they provided a dance sequence in The Taming of the Shrew, and the en¬ tertainment for the Halloween Dance. Officers: Pres. Sally Kimball; Veep. Esther Rouse; Sec. Andrea Rouse; Treas. Faith McElroy. Their sponsor is Miss Porter. G. A. A. The purpose of the Girls Athletic Association is to uphold and maintain good sportsmanship, and to promote friendship to all girls of the school. They have participated in the city playdays, and also had a playday and the All City G.A.A. Conference at Lincoln. Three Representatives were sent to the G.A.F. Convention at Redondo Beach. Officers: Pres. Rosemary Vogel; Veep. Rita Little¬ john; Sec. Sandy Hightman; Rec. Sec. Kay Wells. The sponsors are Miss Fonderon and Miss Arbuthnot. i

RIOT SQUAD The activities of this vivacious group have been directed toward furthering and strengthening Lincoln ' s pep and school spirit. Some of their activities have been: decorating for games, forming card formations at football games, selling beat ribbons, and of course, yelling loudly at all games. The Drill Units, the Pep Band, and the Song and Cheerleaders are integral parts of the Riot Squad. Officers are: Pres. Yvonne Powdrill; Veep. Jim Moore; Sec-Treas. Yolanda Lopez. Mr. Patoff is their sponsor. BIBLE CLUB The Bible Club has come a long way since its origin in 1956. Its purpose is to meet the needs of Christian young people who like to assemble for fun, fellowship, inspirational singing, and devo¬ tion. Their many activities have included a Breakfast, an assembly featuring the Four Flats, painting trash cans around campus, and listening to various guest speakers. The Officers are: Pres. Harold Boyd; 1st Veep. Doug Reid; 2nd Veep. John Coyle; Sec. Emalee Byron; Pub. Chair¬ man Pam Gorton and Carolyn Carmack. Their sponsor is Mr. Dickenson. i

FRENCH CLUB The French Club was re-estab¬ lished this year. During the year they have shown interest in the culture as well as the customs and history of France. Through this club its members have ob¬ tained a broader and more sym¬ pathetic understanding of for¬ eign problems. Officers: Pres. Pat Hazel; Veep. Esther Rouse; Sec.-Treas. Linda Haselwood; Pub. Chairman John Doggett. Y-TEENS Bowling, skating and swim¬ ming have kept the Y-Teens quite busy. One of the most pop¬ ular activities was the Beatnik Dance which financed their rep¬ resentative to the Y-teen Con¬ ference. The year was ended with a trip to Disneyland. Officers: Pres. Esther Rouse; Veep. Andrea Rouse; Sec. Phyliss Twyman; Treas. Bertha Stafano. CONCILIUM ROMANUM The Latin Club is open to all interested students. The club has parties for their thirty-five mem¬ bers. The Roman Banquet held in May is the highlight of the year. Officers: Praeter Jim Thompson; Propraeter Jo Haile; Quaestor Richard Silva; Scriptor Sutti Ball; Jurisconsultus Brent Beckett.
