For 1980-81 based on district goals outlined by superintend- ent William Anderson andthe School Board, Principal Melvin Bowen has placed an additional emphasis on basics e reading, writing, and mathematics. We're looking at our instructional program to see where we can put additional emphasis in these areas. We will continue to abide by the philosophy of ALHS, recognizing the wide social spectrum of the Southside com- munityf' Mr. Bowen said.
