Not long ago a second or third language in the curriculum was novel, in some schools even rare. Today students at Lincoln have the opportunity to learn Latin, French. Spanish, and Russian. Russian is taught at only one other high school in Iowa. Students find another language valuable not only for the study of those whose culture is different from our own, but also as an aid in understanding their own. Erna Bevington French Vincent Boozell Latin George Chatman S panish Kathryn Kirkhoff Latin-Russian Kathleen Smith Russian Roger Hughes listens intently in language lab. —10—
