Barbara Graves . . . Barbara received two letters in ten- nis. She was a member of Leaders, Mermaids, and Latin Club for three years. In Barbara ' s sophomore year she was historian of Girls Club and in her junior year she was president of Mermaids. In her sophomore and junior year she also participated in Future Teachers. She served on the Get-Together committee. Ambition: To attend college. Lawrence M. Griffin . . . Micky participated in the play, We Were Young: That Year, and was a member of the football team in his sophomore year. In his senior year he was a member of D.E.C.A., and served on the Homecoming Decora- tion Committee. In 12A Micky was a member of the Prom committee. Ambition: To attend Drake. Margaret Marcella Griffin . . . Marcy was in Leaders Club, on the Homemaking Staff, and was out for golf in tenth grade. She also served on Student Council for two semesters. In 12th grade she serv- ed on the Informal Committee, the Homecoming Committee, which made the victory emblem, and as Girls Club representative from her home- room. Ambition: To go to college. Jon M. Grindle . . . Jon belonged to F.T.A. in both tenth and eleventh grade. He was out for wrestling for three years, lettering in his senior year. He also partici- pated in All-City Band, DeMolay, and his High League at church. He served on the Commencement An- nouncement and Cap and down Com- mittee in 12 th grade. Ambition: To attend Drake and ma- jor in music. Robert Lorance Grosnickle . . . Larry went out for swimming in his junior year, and was also the man- ager of the track team. Ambition: To become a mechanic. 4 Itifc tiff Mary Pauline Groth . . . Mary served on the Homemaking Staff and was on the Prom Commit- tee in twelfth grade. She participat- ed in intramural s| orts, Girls Club, and the High League of her church. Ambition : To become a good secre- tary. Keith Allen Grubb . . . Keith was out for football, wrestling, track, and cross country during his years at Lincoln. He received a let- ter in cross country and belonged to the Lettermen Club in twelfth grade. He served as co-sports editor of the school paper and on the Prom Committee. He also served on Stu- dent Council in 11th grade. Ambition: To graduate from college. William M. Haines, Jr. . . . Marty ' ' belonged to D.E.C.A. Club, was on the decoration committee for Homecoming, and served on the In- formal Committee in twelfth grade. He was a Student Council represen- tative in tenth grade and was also out for football for two years. Ambition: To attend a business school. Mary Alice Hall . . . In all three years of senior high Mary was active and held various -tfices in Future Teachers Club, Health Careers, Leaders Club, Hospitality and Usher committee, and Pep Club. She belonged to Stu- dent Council for four semesters and was an All-City Student Council Al- ternate for two. She also served as a monitor for two years and was Lincolns Girls State Representative in eleventh grade. In twelfth grade she was on gym and office staff, was front page editor of the school paper and was elected secretary of the senior class. Ambition: To go to S.U.I, and be- come a teacher. Judith Ann Hammer . . . Judy was a member of Future Nurses for two years, Bible Club and Leaders Club for one, and Pep Club for two. She also participated in Senior Choir for three years. All City Band, and Pit Band. She was a Student Council representative in her junior year, and served on the Banquet committee in 12A. Outside of school Judy was active in her F.C.Y.F. —23—

Kathryn Diane Franzen . . . Katy was a member of F.T.A. for three years, and served as treasurer in her junior year. In her senior year she was in Leaders Club and served on the Hospitality and Usher committee. She was front page edi- tor of the newspaper and served on the Baccalaureate committee. Ambition: To graduate from college with a political science degree. Linda Carol Fryman . . . Linda was in Leaders Club for three years, and was also a member of the Pep Club for two years. In jour- nalism she worked on Organization of the Railsplitter. She was a mem- ber of Student Council during her sophomore and senior year, and be- longed to Homemaking staff. Student Center staff and Office staff in her senior year. She was a member of the golf team for three years and won a letter in her junior year. In 12 A Linda was chairman of the Prom committee. Ambition: To become a secretary. Barbara Anne Fuller . . . Barbara was a member of Leaders Club and a monitor during her sen- ior year. She served on the Prom committee. Outside of school, Barb participated in Junior Achievement. Catherine Joan Funaro . . . Cathy was homeroom secretary for three years, and on the Secretarial staff for two years. She was in Drill Team in eleventh grade and in her senior year received a letter for cheerleading. She was voted Homecoming Queen and Miss Date- setter for the Younkers Teen Board in twelfth grade. In 12 A Cathy worked on the picture page for the June Senior Railsplitter and served on the Treasury committee. She was chosen a Drake Relays Princess. Ambition: To attend college. Cheryl Catherine Glanz . . . Cheryl was a member of Leaders Club for three years. In eleventh grade she served on Mr. Hoskin ' s staff, and in twelfth she was a monitor. She participated in Junior Achievement for two years, serving as secretary and treasure r. In her senior year she was glossy editor of the Railsplitter, and served on the Informal committee. Ambition: To become a secretary- Donna Joyce Click . . . Donna was a member of Girls Glee Club for three years. During her sophomore year she served on the Red Cross committee and was a member of Miss Sherwoods staff. In her senior year she was a hostess of the Homemaking staff. She was also on the Prom committee. Out- side of school Donna is a member of Youth for Christ. Ambition : fare. into child wel- Janet Ann Graeber . . . Janet participated in Future Teach- ers and in the Pep club in her junior year. She served on the Homemak- ing staff for two years. During her senior year Janet was a member of the Banquet committee. Ambition: To go to A. LB. and be- come a secretary. Roxanna Roine Graham . . . Starting as a majorette in tenth grade, Roxie was elected majorette captain and junior majorette advisor for the last two years and in her senior year was chosen the band ' s prancer. Roxie played flute in the senior band since ninth grade and was a member of All-City Band, Pit Orchestra, Senior Choir. Girls Glee Club, and Madrigal. She belonged to Latin Club, Leaders Club, and in twelfth grade to Miss Anderson ' s staff and senior committee. In her senior year Roxie served on the in- formal committee. Ambition: To attend Drake Univer- sity or I.B.M. Richard D. Gabriel . . . Richard came to Lincoln in 11A from Dowling. At Dowling he par- ticipated in baseball. During his senior year at Lincoln he was a member of the football and baseball squads. In his senior year he served on the Prom committee. Outside of school he was a member of St. An- thony ' s C.Y.O. Ambition: To attend Grandview. I Sandra Sue Clark Grant . . . Sandy was a member of Nurses staff and Latin Club in her sophomore year. She participated in golf, was a majorette, and was a member of Student Council in her sophomore and junior years. Sandy served as secretary-treasurer of the Secretarial staff in her junior year, and assum- ed the responsibility of president as a senior. She was also historian of Leaders Club, and a member of the Drill Team in twelfth grade. Ambition: To become a secretary. 22

Phyllis was a member of French Club for three years, and nerved as president and vice president in elev- enth grade. Phyllis belonged to Pep Club for two years, and Leaders Club for one semester. In hei senior year she was a member of F.T.A. Phyllis served on Office staff for one year, and also as a monitor. In 12A she served on the Banquet committee. Ambition: To attend college and be- come an interpreter. Linda Gail Harrison . . . Linda was the third prize winner in Polk County Thrift Essay contest in twelfth grade. She belonged to Fu- ture Nurses in eleventh grade, and Pep Club and Leaders Club in elev- enth and twelfth grades. Linda was a member of F.T.A. tor three years, serving as vice president of the club In her senior year. In eleventh grade she served on Student Council and Office staff. In 1 2 A she served on the Informal committee. Ambition: To obtain a degree in En- glish Education from Northwest Mis- souri State College. Karen Lee Heck . . . Karen was a member of Pep Club and Homemaking staff in eleventh grade. In 12A she served on the Stenographic committee. Outside of school Karen taught Sunday school at her church. Ambition: To attend Drake or A. LP. Diane Ruth Heiser . . . In eleventh grade Diane belonged to Pep Club. During her senior year she was a member of the Drill Team, and served on the Informal committee. Outside of school Diane participated in her church youth group. Ambition: To attend college and become a nurse. Arthur (). Hcnlinc . . . Art participated in baseball in elev- enth and twelfth grades. Outside of school he was treasurer of the United Presbyterian Young Peoples Fellow- ship. In 12A he served on the Cap and Gown committee. Melvin Henning . . . Mel went out for baseball in his junior year. Ambition: To attend Iowa State Uni- versity and major in engineering. Hill Hensyel . . . Hill served on the Student Council and was a member of the movie committee in his sophomore year. He was elected chairman of the Student Center committee in twelfth grade. In 12A, Hill was on the Commencement Announcement com- mittee. Ambition: To attend Drake or S.U.I. Jcannine Hiatt . . . Jeannine was a member of Senior Chorus and Girls Club for three years. At her church she belonged to the M.F.F. group and was a par- ticipant in the church choir. Martha Kay Highland . . . Martha was one of Lincoln ' s Madri- gal Singers and a member of Senior Choir for three years. In tenth grade she was treasurer of Y-Teens, and a member of Latin Club. In both tenth and eleventh Martha participated in Future Teachers as vice president and Pep Club. She was a monitor two semesters, and served on the Treasury committee.
