r 3n l ememL ranee Sherilyn Kay Smith July 28, 1943 — October 5, 1960 Sherilyn was active at Lincoln on the Drill Team, and in the French and Latin Clubs. She also was a student of voice, piano and drama; she had participated in the drama shows at the Iowa State Fair. She was in the Flying Hoofs club. A trophy will be given each year in her memory to the person who shows the most sportsmanship throughout the year. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ, Latter Day Saints. She was in the youth group, and had been recreation chairman. Sherilyn was rather shy and quite reserved. In her senior year she came into her own. She was a girl with much pride. September 22, 1943 — October 5, 1960 Karen attended Park Avenue grade school and Nathan Weeks junior high school before entering Lincoln. At Lincoln she was active in the Student Council, Pep Club, Girl ' s Club, and Secretarial Staff. She had taken many secretarial courses. She was in the Adco Company of the Junior Achieve- ment. She attended the Fort Des Moines Methodist Church where she had not missed a Sunday in nine years. Karen always had a good time, was jolly, and had a wonderful disposition. Karen Lee Utley
