Gary Leland Heck . . . Gary is always happy and easy to get along with. He has been a mem- ber of Senior Band for three years, and Pit Band. He participated in the City Wide Disaster Drill and the Get Together Committee during his senior year. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and Junior Achievement. His hobbies are skin diving and hunting. Ambition: Enter the service after graduation. Gary Lee Hensyel . . . Gary ' s thoughtfulness and winning smile are among his personal traits. He has participated in basketball for five years, track for one year, base- ball for two years, and served on the Gym Staff. Gary took part in the City Wide Disaster Drill during his senior year and served on the Treas- ury Committee. His hobby is spurts. Ambition: Become an architect. William Lewis Hickman, Jr. . . Ambition: Become a welder. Sherry Ann Hillabolt . . . Her quiet ways and friendly person- ality are sure characteristics of Sher- ry. She has been in Junior Chorus. Girls Glee Club, Leaders Club, Sec- retarial Staff, and Pep Club. Sher- ry has participated in C.Y.F. and Junior Achievement for two years. In her senior year she served on the Class Day Committee. Her hobby is roller skating. Ambition : Work at the Telephone Company. James Gordon Holder . . . Jim has a quiet, yet friendly atti- tude toward everyone at Lincoln. He participated in Hi-Y basketball, Stu- dent Council, and served on the Baccalaureate Committee in his sen- ior year. He was president of the Sunday School at Ft. Des Moines Methodist Church. Cars are his fav- orite hobby. Ambition: Attend Capital City Com- mercial College and study business administration. James Wayne Holik . . . Jim has a friendly and pleasing personality. He participated in track for two years and was on the Bac- calaureate Committee in his senior year. His hobby is working on his car, which takes up much of his time. Ambition: Become a printer. Patricia Hollingsworth . . . Pat ' s charm, beauty and winning smile won her the title of Lincoln ' s 1960 Homecoming Queen. She has served on Student Council for two semesters, Gym Staff, Usher Com- mittee and was a member of the Leaders Club. She was chosen as front page editor of the Greenhorn and co-feature editor of the Rail- splitter. She has served as homeroom secretary and treasurer and was on the Informal Committee. Ambition: Attend college and ma- jor in psychology. Ann Linda Huglin . . . Annie Hue has beauty, intelli- gence, and artistic ability. She be- longed to the Senior Student Council and has been secretary- treasurer of the Intra-Des Moines Student Coun- cil. She was secretary of the Dorian Art Club and belonged to the Art Staff and Art Homeroom. Ann was a member of the Drill Team, and was a junior cheerleader and a sen- ior alternate. During her senior year she won $10 for an essay in a sav- ings contest. She belonged to the Senior Choir and Girls Glee Club. One of Ann ' s hobbies is ice skating in which she was a member of the Des Moines Skating Club. Her other hobbies are swimming, painting, and drawing. Ambition: Attend college. Toni Kay Huntsman . . . A charming smile and a winning personality describes Toni. She has served on Office Staff, Homemak- ing Staff, Informal Committee, and Student Council for three semesters. In homeroom she was secretary and treasurer. Toni attended the Drake Career Day, was a member of the Drill Team and was a candidate for Polio Queen in eleventh grade. Her favorite pastimes are dancing and bowling. Ambition : Become a child psycholo- gist. Ronald Mark Hyatt . . . Of the seventeen schools Ronnie has attended throughout the United States, he liked Lincoln so well that he returned for his senior year. He has participated in football, basket- ball, and track in which he received a letter in each. Ronnie is attending Drake night school in which he is taking interior decorating. He has served as a cashier in the school cafeteria for two years. He has served on the Usher Committee in which he was a chairman. He was also on the Class Day Committee. Ambition: Attend Grand View and major in business. Madeline Rose Graziano . . . A happy smile and personality de- scribes Madeline. She has been a member of Pep Club, Girls Glee Club, and Junior and Senior Chorus. She has served on Senior Student Council, Secretarial Staff, and the Banquet Committee. Madeline helped on the Lincoln Student Directory as a member of the Girls Club Finance Committee. During: her senior year she was a candidate for Polio Queen. Her hobbies include cooking:, swim- ming; and badminton. Ambition: Secure a stenographic position or attend a cosmetology school. James Robert Greenleaf . . . Quiet, with a warm personality de- scribes Bob. He has participated in basketball and golf. He was sports editor of the Greenhorn and worked on the sports column for the Rail- splitter. He also served on the Get Together Committee. Bob was a member of Band, and was placed on All-City Band. His favorite hobby ; s music. Ambition: Attend Drake. John H. Gunson . . . John ' s cleverness of thought and in- tellect has won him many honors. During: his senior year he was chosen class president by the 12A ' s. He was among; the top ten in the State Drafting Contest at Iowa State Uni- versity. He has been on the honor roll, and was president of homeroom. He has participated in football, bas- ketball, and spring; track. He rep- resented Lincoln at the Second Na- tional Youth Conference on the atom in Chicago. His hobbies art- hunting and fishing. Ambition: Attend Iowa State Uni- versity and take architecture. Jerry Donald Haldeman . . . Friendliness will well describe Jer- ry ' s personality. He belonged to Jun- ior Achievement and was vice-presi- dent of his Junior Achievement Com- pany. He was a member of the Get Together Committee and has served as a monitor. A friendly and witty disposition is apparent when Jim ' s around. He has been a member of band for five years, and a member of the swim- ming team for two years. He was secretary and treasurer of home- room, and helped in building the 1960 Homecoming Symbol. He also served on the Commencement Com- mittee. He has placed 1st and 2nd in various speech contests. He was a member of Ra- dio Class, Student Council, DeMolay. and National Guard. He has received a letter in football and has partici- pated in wrestling. He has served as secretary of homeroom and radio class, and was on the Class Day Committee. His favorite sport is football. Outside of school she enjoys swim- ming and skating. Ambition: To live in Arizona. Sally Ann Hardenbrook . . . Sally ' s red hair and gaiety are among her many qualities. She belonged to the Drill Team, Pep Club, Office Staff, and was historian of the D.E.C.A. Club. During her senior year she was chosen Miss Deca Sweetheart of 1961. She helped on the school play with make up, and served on the Get Together Commit- tee. Sally ' s main hobbies include swimming and horseback riding. Dixie Lee Jeffries . . . Dixie ' s happy, energetic personality has won her many friends at Lin- coln. Dixie was on Library Staff and was in Pep Club, and Future Teach- ers. She belonged to the Finance Committee and was a homeroom rep- resentative of the Girls Club. Dixie belonged to the Senior Student Coun- cil and during her senior year she was elected as secretary. She was the circulation manager of the Sen- ior Railsplitter and served on the Banquet Committee. Ambition: Attend Drake and major in elementary education. Lois E. Jewell . . . Lois ' happiness and smile are known throughout the halls of Lincoln. Dur- ing school she has participated in Girls Glee Club, Junior Chorus, and served on the Informal Committer during her senior year. Lois has also belonged to Leaders Club and served on Gym Staff for four semesters. She was a member of Flying Hoofs Drill Team, French Club, Latin Club, Treasury Committee, and served as a monitor. Her hobbies include tennis, swimming, photography, and horse- back riding. Ambition: Attend Drake University and major in music. Carole Jones . . . Carol can always be seen with a friendly and cheerful smile. She was a member of Girls Glee Club, Senior Choir, Future Teachers, Dorian Art Club, and served on the Banquet Committee. Outside of school she belongs to Rainbow, C.Y.F., and her church choir. Her hobbies are bowl- ing, tennis, singing and playing the piano. Ambition: Work at the New York Telephone Company. Harold Eugene Jordan . . . Pretty, blue eyed, with a charming personality brings to mind Jossie. She has participated in two school assemblies as a project of radio class and broadcasted at KDPS. She was a hall monitor and a member of Gym Staff, Girls Club and served on the Class Day Committee. She portrayed the part of Lois Graves in Lincoln ' s school play, Junior Miss. Her favorite hobby is danc r ing. Ambition: Attend I modeling school in the East. Karen Marquerite Keefer . . . Karen adds a spark of spirit and happiness wherever she goes. This has been evident in her cheerleading, in which she receiv ed one monogram, and as vice-president of the Pep Club. She has held the offices of treasurer and secretary during her three years in Student Council. She was placed on the honor roll, and worked on the Get Together Committee during her senior year. Bowling is one of her many hobbies. Ambition: Become a successful re- ceptionist. Marilyn Lee Kemp . . . Marilyn has a friendly smile and disposition. She has served as treas- urer of the Student Council, presi- dent of the French Club, and was on the Prom Committee. She be- longed to the Nurses Staff, Drill Team and Leaders Club. Marilyn was chosen editor of the Greenhorn and Senior Railsplitter during her senior year. She likes to bowl and swim in her spare time. Ambition : Attend Iowa Lutheran Hospital and take nurses training. Joan Marie Kime . . . Her energetic spirit is known by all at Lincoln. She has been on the honor roll for four straight years, and served on the Stenographic Committee during her senior year. She is a member of the Luther League and has served as secretary.
