Marilyn Sue Adamson . . . A spirited personality will describe Marilyn. She has participated in tennis. Mermaids and belonged to Leaders Club. She belonged to the Dorian Art Club, Homemaking Staff, and in her senior year she was on the (let-Together Committee. Her hobbies include swimming, and wa- ter skiing. Ambition : Attend an airline school in Denver and become an airline hostess. Maureen Barrett . . . I aughter and the gift for conversa- tion are among Mimi ' s assets. She has been a member of Student Coun- cil and has been on the honor roll. Mimi has taken part in Girls Glee Club and Senior Chorus. During senior high she was on the Drill Team and the Prom Committee. Wa- ter skiing, skating and swimming are Mimi ' s hobbies. Ambition: Attend S.U.I, for nurse ' s training. Marilyn Kay Anderson . . . Giving a warm and happy smile to all is Marilyn. She belonged to Fu- ture Nurses, of which she was the treasurer, Latin Club. Nurses Staff, and Pep Club. She has been men- tioned on the honor roll and in her senior year she was a member of the Treasury Committee. Outside of school Marilyn belongs to her church choir and M.Y.F. In her spare time she enjoys playing the piano, swim- ming, and ice-skating. Ambition: Take nursing at Iowa Methodist Hospital. Lee Harlow Andre . . . Lee. or better known as Lincoln ' s commanding general, is a combina- tion of intelligence and humor. He has been on the honor roll and be- longed to the Latin Club. Lee has participated in football and baseball and in his senior year he was a member of the Get-Together Commit- tee. Outside of school he belonged to the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Obtaining history on Brit- ain and hunting are among his hob- bies. After graduation Lee plans to attend the State University of Iowa and major in chemical engineering. Ambition: Earn a Commission in the Marine Corps and command a jet squadron aboard an aircraft carrier. Jeanne Mildred Armbrest . . . Pretty eyes and a quick smile are traits of Dolly. She has been in the band for six years, and served on the Girls Club, Pep Club, and the Informal Committee. Dolly has served in 4-H Club as president and reporter. She has participated in soccer, and badminton. Outside of school she enjoys skating and danc- ing. Ambition: Become a secretary. Brian Dee Baker . . . Brian ' s ability to ride horses has won him fame throughout Iowa. One of his outstanding trophies is the Iowa Saddle Association Award for being the best equitation rider in Iowa, which he has received for the past two years. He has participated in swimming, track, and football throughout senior high and has re- ceived three letters for swimming. Brian has taken part in radio, by going to K.D.P.S. for radio and tele- vision work. He has belonged to Stu- dent Council for the past two years and he has served as chairman of the Social Committee. Brian also won a gold key for craft work. Ambition: Attend Missouri State Teachers College. Donna Belle Betts . . . Donna, with her warm personality came to Lincoln from Florida in her junior year. At Edgewater High she was in Girls Glee Club for three years. At Lincoln she has served on Student Council. Office Staff, and the Get Together Committee. Outside of school she belonged to Junior Achievement. Ambition: Become t. beautician. Stephen Lester Bougher . . . A witty personality and his musical ability are characteristics of Steve. He has lettered in tennis and has participated in football and basket- ball. During his senior year he wrote a poem that was published in The National Poetry Midwest Anthology, and served on the Get-Together Committee. His hobby is music and he was a member of the Pit Band, and was chosen for the All-City Band. Ambition: Attenc. the State Univer- sity of Iowa. Sandra Jean Bradley . . . Sandy has a sparkling personality and enjoys many activities, among them are horseback riding, skiing, and swimming. She was a member of Mermaids, and was on the Gym Staff. She belongs to the Drill Team. Pep Club, and has held the responsi- bility of president of the Friendship Club, chairman of the Prom Com- mittee, and was columnist of the Railsplitter. She belonged to Future Teachers and Rainbow. During her senior year. Sandy helped build the 1960 Homecoming Symbol. Ambition: Attend college, then enter an airline school. Jackie Lee Breitkreutz . . . A witty and friendly personality de- scribes Jackie. She has served on Secretarial Staff for two semesters, was on the Stenographic Committee in 12A and was a hall monitor. She was a member of the Girl ' s Club and Pep Club. Jackie ' s hobbies include bowling and reading. Ambition: Become a successful secre- tary.

Marilyn Ora Brightwell . . . Marilyn ' s happy spirit, and musical ability have been a credit to Lincoln. She played in the Senior Hand, Pit Hand, and was chosen for the All- City Hand. Brig h ty belonged to the Pep Club, Student Council, Leaders Club and served on the Informal Committee. Outside of school she belonged to M.Y.F. and Rainbow in which she received her gold wreath for attendance last year. Ambition: Attend I.B.M. and become a secretary. Palt Host ' Brockman . . . Patty has that Irish smile and laughter that is known so well. She was chosen vice-president of the Secretarial Staff during her senior year, secretary of homeroom 105, and organization co-editor of the Senior Railsplitter. She has received honorable mention on the honor roll, belonged to the Office Staff, Home- making Staff, and was on the Get Together Committee. Patty enjoys dancing, bowling and swimming. Ambition: Work at Hell Telephone Company. Eleanor (). Brown . . . Eleanor ' s perky, peppy spirit is known by all. She has served on Junior and Senior Student Council and Homemaking Staff for two se- mesters. She was a member of the Drill Team, Mermaids, and the Pep Club. During her senior year she was on the Commencement Commit- tee. Her hobbies include dancing and swimming. Ambition: Become a secretary. Bonny Jean Browning . . . Bonny has that spark that keeps things alive and is a definite addi- tion to Lincoln ' s school spirit. Bonny has participated in Drill Team, Leaders club and Pep club. In her senior year she was chosen sketch co-editor of the Senior Railsplitter, helped on the 1960 Homecoming symbol, and served on the Prom Committee. Outside of school she is in Rainbow and in her spare time she plays the piano, teaches swim- ming, and ice skates. Ambition : Become a secretary. Barbara Kay Burchfield . . . Barbara ' s happy spirit highlights her personality. She was president and vice-president of the Future Nurses Club. She belonged to the Future Nurses Staff, Red Cross Committee, Student Council, and was on the Get Together Committee. She was chosen organization editor of the Senior Rail Staff during her senior year. Barbara participates in Mermaids, Pep Club, tennis and was a Y-Teen leader. Her hobbies include skating, swimming, and tennis, also she en- joys sewing and makes many of her clothes. Ambition : Attend Mercy Hospital for nurses training in Des Moines. Frank Allen Bures . . . Frank represented Lincoln in drama, golf, and music in an outstanding way. He has been on the honor roll continuously, and received a letter of commendation in the National Iftrfl Scholarship competition. He has been a Hawkeye State representative and an American Field Service candidate for the New Zealand Program. He participated in golf for three years in which he received two letters, and served on the Banquet Committee. He belonged to the All-City Band, and had the honor of being clarinet soloist in the 1960 All State Or- chestra. Ambition: Attend Drake and Illinois and study music. Bonnie Jean Burgett . . . A shy, sweet manner describes Bon- nie. In school she belonged to the Ciirls Glee Club and Stenographic Committee. Outside of school she be- longed to the Overcomers in Church, in which she served as president and secretary. She enjoys reading, and her hobbies are swimming, and skat- ing. Ambition: Attend Open Bible Col- lege. Robert Leonard Burns . . . Bob has been an all-around athlete during his years at Lincoln. He has shown this by participating in bas- ketball for four years and has par- ticipated in baseball for three years and received two monograms. He was a gym instructor at Lincoln, and the Y.M.C.A. Bob was on the honor roll and has served as a moni- tor. His hobby is baseball. Ambition: Attend Iowa State Teach- ers College, and become a successful coach. Carmene Kay Busrh . . . Carmene is little but mighty in her many activities. She was a member of Future Teachers, Leaders ' Club, and has placed on the honor roll. She was a member of Lincoln ' s marching and concert band. Out- side of school she participated in the Horizon Club, a Dixieland Combo, the C.H.I.X., and teaches accordion. Ambition: Attend L.B.S.C. or Drake and major in music and secondary education. Robert Noel Byg . . . A smile on his face and a paint brush in his hand describes Bob. He has served in the Art Service Home- room, and the Dorian Art Club, in which he served as treasurer. Bob has received seven gold keys and seven honorable mention ' s in the Scholastic Art Awards. He designed the Younker Ad and has received a D.M.A.C. scholarship to the Art Center. He received an honorable mention in the 1960 Handicapped Poster Contest, and plans to sub- mit a portfolio to Iowa State Teach- ers College for a possible four year scholarship. Outside of art he has participated in tennis for three se- mesters. He received the key for the June Class and worked on the Com- mencement Committee. Ambition: Attend college and major — 14-
