Richard Earl Pagre . . . Dick can be seen with Lenard Sims and the rest of the boys. Hunting, swimming:, watchins: football an(i basketball are this fellow ' s favorite hobbies. Gettinf? his first car seems to be Dick ' s biggest thrill. He claims eating pizza and chicken are his only talents. Pro-Markman. Markman and Markman first class in the National Rifle Association was one of Dick ' s biggest honors. Ambition: To graduate from Lincoln. Carol Ann Parks . . . A closed mouth ' ailui m. ini, is the philosophy of this cute bru- nette lass. Of course, she exercises this philosophy with her hobbies which are talking on the phone and swimming. Carol has been a real credit to Lincoln while cruising around the halls with Nan, Penny, Peg, Hull, Erickson, Julie and Caro- lyn. She has been a majorette, a member of Dorian Art Club, T.P.A.. C.V.A., and on art staff. Although this shy girl claims her talents are well and deeply hidden, we all know she has been blessed with the work of art in her blood. Carol has been in the art homeroom for two years and was also on the social commit- tee in student council. Carol ' s big- gest thrill will be graduating from college. Ambition: To come out ahead in life. Barbara Louise Parsons . . . Better known as Beautiful Bar- bara, she came to Lincoln from Nathan Weeks. She says her hob- bies are eating, dancing, bowling and sleeping. Barb claims her talents are pretty well hidden while her biggest thrill is yet to come. Among her many activities, she has graduated from American Institute of liusiness, i)articipated in the Open House Style Show and has .served on homemaking staff. She can usu- ally be seen with Pam, Judy and Joyce. Ambition: To make my mother happy and have fun. Sandra Mae Perry ... Sandra has been a straight one stu- dent all through school but has been very quiet about it. This sweet girl has been on secretarial staff for three semesters and was secretary- treasurer of this organization. San- dra was also a member of Horizon Club. Her talent seems to be help- ing out with a second grade Bluebird group. Sandy ' s biggest thrill is yet to come but she replies that it will be a big thrill this summer be- ing an apprentice-counselor for four weeks at camp. Everyone is Sandy ' s friend and her hobbies are sewing and handcrafts. Ambition: To be a good secretary. Richard Charles Plummer . . . Dick has worked very hard in all kinds of weather as manager of both the football and basketball teams and for his efforts he has received two letters. He has been further honored by being chosen manager of the stage crew. He has been on student council for one semester and he has faithfully served in service homeroom 26 for two years. Jim, John, and Sandy are only a few of his many friends. Hunting and fishing are his hobbies while he says his talents are well hidden. Dick claims his biggest thrill is yet to come. Ambition : To be a success and make my jiarents proud of me. Jerry Leslie Poison . . . This attractive boy is a member of homeroom 2fi and can be seen with many of his friends, including C. C, L. P., R. (;., (;. W., D. M. and L. W. Jerry ' s hobbies include hunting, gun collecting, swimming and fishing. He says his biggest thrill was going to Canada with his family. Jerry says his talents are sleeping, girls and baseball. Ambition: Graduate and make my family proud of me. Pamela Jane Porter . . . Long red hair, a smile for everyone an l lots of fun to be around, de- scribes Pam. An active member of homemaking staff, this cute gal claims her greatest honor while at Lincoln was participating in the Open House Style Show in the fall of 1959. Pam says her talents are hidden, but bowling, eating and sleep- ing are the hobbies that keep her busy. Her biggest thrill is yet to come and a few of Pam ' s many friends are Barb, Judy, Joyce and Joan. A member of Mr, Miller ' s homeroom, Pam says her favorite teachers are Miss Moroney and Mr. Wood and homemaking rates num- ber one as her favorite subject. Ambition: To make my loved ones proud of me. Gary Lee Ramsey . . . This active boy claims that being in chorus. Madrigal, glee club and on the honor roll throughout senior high are the biggest honors he re- ceived while at Lincoln. Out of school, (Jary ' s biggest honor was be- ing a delegate to Boy ' s State in the summer of 1959, He has been a real credit to Lincoln not only by serv- ing on student council three semes- ters, and being a member of music homeroom for three semesters but he was out for football, basketball and baseball. Gary belongs to De- Molay and says his hobbies are bowling, skating, and golf. He can be seen with Mick, Virg and Denny. Graduating from college will be his biggest thrill. Ambition: To make many friends an i always be successful. Douglas Raper . . . A g(M d l(K)king lad with a wonderful personality describes Doug. The Dor- ian Art Club and art staff are two of his many activities. He has re- ceived two gold key awards for his art work. Doug came to Lincoln from Nathan Weeks in tenth grade and has participated in football since coming to Lincoln, receiving one letter in football. He was also on the track team last semester. Doug ' s hobbies are bowling and dancing, while his talent is doing everything at the last minute. He can be seen with Chuck, Shade, Jerry and Son- lra. Ambition: To go to art school after graduation. Darlene (Veasman) Reeves . . . This active young lady came to Lin- coln from Indianola. She was really busy at St. Mary ' s where she was a student before attending Indianola. There she received two letters, three stripes and two pins for cheerlead- ing ; one letter and one stripe for basketball and one letter and three pins for softball. She also had the leading part in the 11 A i)lay. Dar- lene is active in her hobbies which include horseback riding, swimming and painting. Outside of school, be- sides her hobbies, Darlene was i)resi- lent of 4-H for four years and she held several other offices in this organization and belonged to C.Y.O. Darlene ' s talents seem to be dancing and dramatics. Ambition: To be a successful house- wife. 28 —

Kay Ann Nelson . . . This little jcirl came to us from Lincoln Hi h in Webster City. She was very active at Lincoln in the pep club of which she was secretary, the art club and also in the skat- ing club. In her junior year at Webster City she had perfect attend- ance, Kay ' s hobbies are roller skatinR and ice skating and she claims her talents are hidden. Although Kay is new at Lincoln, she has made many friends, a few of which are Sharon. Sue, Don, Joyce and Karen. Kay ' s bitfRfHt thrill was when she went with the pep club to Story City. Ambition : To make my parents proud of me and to be a model. Carolyn Ann Neuwerth . . . Usually with her mouth open, cheer- ing of course, her ears open listen- ing to other peoples troubles, de- scribes none other than one of Lin- coln ' s finest cheerleaders, Carolyn. Carolyn has been cheering for Ijin- coln for two years and has received two letters for it. She has also been out for tennis and received one let- ter in this sport. This is not the ex- tent of her contributions to Lincoln, she has been on gym staff for three years and Leaders Club. Carolyn can be seen strolling around the halls with Sharon H., Sharon E., Carol, Julie, Nannette, Mary, Penny ancl Peggy. Outside of school, Carolyn ' s time was occupied as a member of Younker ' s Teen Board and as a representative to Hawkeye (Jirls State in the summer of 1959. Ambition: To love and make a suc- cess of my life. Jeanne Newton . . . This cute girl can be seen with Sharon C, Larry, Sharon A., Karen, Judy, and the rest of the gang. Her hobbies include dancing, tennis, and bowling. Jeanne came to us from Weeks Junior High and since then she has been active in senior Y- teens secretarial staff, a glossy e li- tor of Senior Rail, and served two semesters on student council. Jeanne was also in honor study hall. Out- side of school she was in Junior Achievement and received her J. A. pin. She says all her talents are well hid len. Jeanne tells us her biggest thrill is yet to come. Ambition: To lead a full life and always be happy. Judy Ann Noble . . . With a wide collection of friends and room for more, Judy is seen with Don, Joyce, Pat, Jackie C, Jackie N., Sharon and Linda. Always find- ing something to do, Judy considers her favorite pastimes swimming, .skating, dancing and horseback rid- ing. Her many activities include, homemaking staff. Leaders Club and Mermaids, Judy says her talents lie in three fields, sewing, cooking and swimming. She also served as treasurer of homemaking staff. Grad- uating from high school will be her greatest thrill. Ambition: To make those dear to me proud of me. Phyllis Elaine Noble . . . A charming rather shy lass, with pretty brown hair, describes Phyllis, known to all of her friends as Phil, This sweet girl ' s favorite hobbies are ice skating and swim- ming. Phil says her talents are very well hidden. Mr. Wood tops her list of favorite teachers, while Spanish and typing are her best liked subjects. Receiving my ring from Earl was my biggest thrill, stated Phyllis. Paulette, Roberta, Rosemary, Diane, Pearl and Janet are just a few of her closest friends. Ambition : To make my loved ones proud of me. Betty Jane Ogden . . . An attractive brunette with pretty blue eyes and a friendly personality that makes her a ball to be with, describes none other than Betty. If you hear, I don ' t care or That ' s the breaks, you ' ll know that Betty is around. This active girl has many hobbies including golf, swimming, bowling, talking, eating and being with HfK)d. She has faithfully served on the student council one semester. Betty says her pet peeve is people who think they ' re better than some- one else. Talking and chewing gum are my only talents, says Betty. Outside of school she was a member of Rainbow. Carol, Sue, Linda, Son- dra, Deanna, (lermaine and Hood are just a few of Betty ' s many friends. Her biggest thrill lies some- where in the future. Ambition: To go to college and make all my special people proud of me. Sallee Ann O ' Keefe . . . Whenever you hear the expression, All the time, you ' ll be sure to find Sallee. This sweet gal has served Lincoln well. Sal belonged to French Club for one semester and she has broadcast on KDPS for radio and journalism. This busy girl claims her only talent is saying the wrong thing at the wrong time and among her many hobbies are bowling, swim- ming and dancing. She says her biggest thrill is yet to come and her many friends will agree with that. Also, she says her favorite class is radir) and her favorite teacher is Mr. Sanders. Sallee can be seen with Joan, Mona, Judy, Jo, Marie, Vicky and Carolyn. Ambition: To live a long and happy life and always do what is right. Ramona Ortega . . . This lively little girl, known as Mona to her friends, can usually be seen around school with Joan. Sallee, JoAnn and Vicky. Mona, who says that her talents are hidden, can generally be found bowling, playing tennis, swimming or dancing. She s«Mved on student council for one semester. Outside of school, she is an active member of LULAC, which stands for League of United Latin American Citizens, In this organiza- tion Mona was voted to be an at- tendant to the Queen of Lulac in September 1959, Mona says that art is her favorite subject and Mr. Hoff- man is her favorite teacher. Her big- gest thrill is yet to come. Ambition: To become an interior decorator. Dennis Robert Ortlund . . . This friendly boy came to us from Franklin Junior High, He has been active in football, wrestling, and spring track. He received a mono- gram in football and one in wres- tling, Dennis belongs tt) the F,C,Y.F. church organization and claims his hobbies are stamp col- lecting and eating. His biggest thrill was watching the Rose Bowl Parade from Colorado Boulevard, Dennis ' talents include talking and wrestling, Dennis usually can be seen with Carl H, Nelson C, and the boys around Lincoln ' s halls. Ambition : To be successful in what- ever I do. Mary Margaret Overbeck . . . A sparkling personality with a laugh like no other, belongs to Mary. Act- ing has been one of the many talents Mary possesses. She played in Sev- enteenth Summer, Letter to Lu- cerne, and Behind This Mask. She is also a member of the Play- house Workshop and has done the art work on the Junior Achievement newspaper, was on gym staff and has served on student council for one semester. In student council she was committee chairman and was a Red Cross chairman. Her talents are music, art and drama. She be- longs to Catholic Daughters of Amer- ica, Dorian Art Club and Leaders Club. Mary can usually be seen with Joyce, Toot, Joan and Nancy. Mary says her biggest thrill is yet to come. Ambition: To go to Alaska with Joyce and the rest of the girls. 27 —

Lillian Marie Richardson . . . Where you find a jiray personality and a laujfh. you ' ll find Katie. She can usually be seen with Diane, Pam, Barbara. Judy and Toot. Her favor- ite hobbies are dancin); and bowling. Katie has served Lincoln by beinp: on homemakinjr staff and a member of Leaders Club. She claims her talents are just bein talented, but she must have a talent in spelling as she re- ceived a National Spelling Merit. Katie ' s bi est thrill is yet to come. Ambition: To make special people proud of me. Connie Rivera . . . HeinK chosen (lueen of the L.IJ.L.A.C. seems to be Connie ' s biprKest thrill. She came to Lincoln from St. Joseph Academy in 11 H. Whenever you see Theresa, Toni, Mike and Betty you are likely to see Connie close by. Her many hobbies include dancing and eating while beinjj: a faithful member of the L.U.L.A.C. and C.Y.O. seems to take up quite a bit of her time. Connie ' s favorite teacher is Mr. Chatman while Spanish is her favor- ite subject. Ambition : To make my parents proud of me. Diane Louise Robbins . . . Diane is a lively Kirl, full of pep and a lot of fun to be around. Bowlinjf and dancinjf seem to take up a lot of this active girl ' s time, but she always seems to find time to i)al around with Katie, Paula, Sharon, Pearl and Dianna. Diane claims her only talent is doin» the ri»fht thinjf at the wronK time and her bi Jfest thrill will be graduation. Ambition : To be a success and make my loved ones proud of me. Sondra Jean Robbins . . . This i)retty jfirl with an attractive smile and personality can usually be seen with the Linda ' s, Sue, Deanna, Betty, Carol, Becky and Doupr. A.L.H.S. was very proud to have Sondra as the 1959 Homecoming Queen, which she states was her bi Kest thrill. She was circulation manager of the CIreenhorn news- paper and the Senior Kailsplitter. Writing letters to California and bowlinK are Sonnie ' s hobbies, while her talent is ettinpr in the bathtub before Linda. For two years this busy sral has been on office staff and has worked in the supply room. Future Teachers has been for- tunate to have this lass as a mem- ber, while outside of school Sondra belonjfs to Rainbow. Ambition : To look in the past with no reprrets and make all my special people proud of me. Paulette Marie Stamper . . . LonK red hair, si)arkling smile and a bubblinjr personality describes Paulette. Polly, as she is known to all her friends, served Lincoln in her senior year by beinK a member of the banquet committee. Her favorite pastime and hobbies are bowlinjf and keeping out of trouble. A few of her many friends include Rosie, Phil, Bert, Diane and Pearl. Outside of sch(K)l Paulette belongs to C.Y.O. She claims her biKgest thrill was re- ceiving her ring from Jim while her talents are well hidden. Her favor- ite subject is journalism and Mr. Sanders ranks at the top of her list of favorite teachers. Ambition : To have a happy and successful life and make my ce rtain someone proud of me. Linda Ann Roth . . . This peppy little girl can be seen jumping around Lincoln with Norma, Bev., Darlene and the rest of the gang. She has to jump because of the many activities in which she participates. Linda has been out for tennis three years for which she received a letter, a member of sec- retarial staff in which she was sec- retary-treasurer and vice-president, a loyal member of Leaders Club and on the .senior student council for one year. When she is not in school, Linda is very active in J. A. and has been for three years. She was sec- retary of her company and chair- man of the Trade Fair. Linda ' s chief talent seems to be saying the wrong thing at the right time. Ambition: To achieve success in whatever I attempt. Jo Anne Ruble . . . This busy girl has served Lincoln well by being a loyal member in good standing of the French Club for two semesters. Jo can usually be found bowling, playing tennis or driving. Wherever you see Sallee, Vic, Marie, Mona and many others you will find Jo. Among this lasses many talents, cooking tops them all. Jo likes many subjects but her favor- ite is history and her favorite teacher is Mi.ss Holmes. Jo Anne says gradu- ation from high school will be her biggest thrill. Ambition : To make my parents proud of me. Sharon Louise Russell . . . Going to Bible College next fall will be this nice girl ' s biggest thrill. She has served on student council for one semester, also she served three semesters as Bible Club ))resident. Sharon can be seen with Mary, Karen. Sally and Wilma. She claims her hobbies are bowling and eating while her talents are playing the organ and i)iano. Sharon is kept very busy belonging to Leaders Club, homemaking staff and Y.? C. She has received a craft award and a Noma spelling award. Ambition : To be a success in life and to live each day as unto the Lord. Carole Radine Ryan . . . Day or night you can find this lively girl in a whirl of activities. Working in journalism and being co-editor of the broadcasting staff are only a small part of Radine ' s daily routine. Along with being secretary of home- room 233, she is also member of Leaders Club, Future Nurses, Senior Y-Teens, Dorian Art Club and the tennis team. She has also served on student council for two semesters. Being a candidate for the sweetheart of DeMolay and being on Truth or Consequences are honors she has re- ceived out of school. Radine ' s hobbies are ice skating, swimming and horse back riding. While singing, piano and the clarinet are her many talents. Radine can usually be seen with Larry. Dian, Mary Jo and Bev. Ambition: To live each day of my life prei)aring for God ' s promise of Eternity. Ruby Kay Baylor . . . This active girl can usually be found in Miss Moroney ' s room, that is when she has si)are time. Ruby has been in chorus for two years and girl ' s glee club one year. She was on homemaking staff and held the office of president of this staff. Her hob- bies seem to be serving teas and jewelry making. She has served cof- fee for the faculty and P.T.A. meet- ings since she came to Lincoln in eleventh grade. A few of Ruby ' s many friends are Karen. Joyce, Caro- lyn. Kay and Sandy. Ruby ' s talents are sewing and singing. She remarks that her biggest thrill is yet to come. Ambition : To be the first one in the family to graduate and to be- come a seamstress.
