This cute gul claims Mr. Cox and Miss Riggs as her favorites and commer- cial low and history are her favorite classes. Brown hair and eyes describe this girl and she pals with Phyl, Pat, Marilyn, and Carolyn. Polly hoils from homeroom 211 and can always be heard saying Kiddie, you didn t! Young Love, Canadian Sunset, and You Don ' t Owe Me A Thing are her favorite songs. Her talents include singing and playing the piano. Her biggest thrills are graduation and receiving her diamond. Polly ' s — nost i n ' -ar it was she got lost with Babs in Illinois. Ambition: To live a long, healthy, successful life, and have many friends. Danny David Sease . . . Dan came to us from McKmley and is now a faithful member of homeroom 235. This brown haired lad can be seen with Wayne, Jim, Jerry, and John. Mr. Wood rates top on his list of favorite teachers, while bookkeeping is his favorite subject. Seaseo can be heard say- ing You better believe it! His favorite songs are Young Love and Moonlight Gambler. Dan ' s hobbies include eating and bowling with little Louie. His clubs are S.SS.R, cell block 239, B.S.A , Crime Lab, and M.M.C. Dan has been activity book chairman for six years in homeroom 235. Coloring maps in commercial geogrophy is Dan ' s pet peeve. His biggest thrill is yet to come. Ambition: To be liked by all and very successful. Helen Serra . . . Helen hails from St Anthony and is now a member of homeroom 211. This gal with the dark brown hair claims lournahsm and Mr. Sanders are tops with her. She can be seen with Vicky, Sally Jo, Nancy, Judy and the rest of the gang and in journalism she pals with Patty and Joanne. Her favorite songs are Young Love and 99 Ways and her favor. te quotation is Cute! Helen Jo ' s services include chorus and gym staff and her clubs are Green Door, Soljoy, and B.O.Y.S. She claims her talent is going to certain games and her pet peeves are boys in junior achievement and junior cheerleaders. Her biggest thrill is yet to come. Ambition: To work for the govern- orold Douglas Shatter . . . From 235 comes Snorkel. Snorkel claims his talent is saying the wrong thing at the right time and being the slowest guy on t he squads. His hobbies include sports, eating, and sleeping. He is a faithful member of Willie ' s Pool Club, T.B.C., and Cel (block 239. Doug has received letters in football, baseball, and basketball. He claims people who smoke and argue are his pet peeve. He can always be seen with McCon- key, Crees, and Karnes. His many services include vice president of junior and senior student councils and president of homeroom. Gradua- tion will be his biggest thrill. Ambition: Live, love, lough, and be happy always. Judith Ann Shaw . . . Judy can be found in homeroom 211. She came to us from Park Avenue and has light brown hair. She pals with Nancy, Carm, Sue, Loretta, Sal- ly, Vickie, Sharon and the rest of the gang. You know, you ' ve got a point there? is Judy ' s favorite quo- tation. She was a member of secre- tarial staff for four semesters and president of the staff for three. Ar- guing with Doug is her talent while her hobby is going to ball games. Clubs include T.B.C., J A., D.I.C., and pep club. Her pet peeve is people that start lies about other people. Her biggest thrill will be graduation. Ambition: Make new friends, keep old ones and always be happy. Alice Mary Silletto . . . Al noils from Park Avenue. She has blonde hair and pals with T.C.A. and J.A.K. If you hear someone say I ' ve been nabbed with the beans! You ' ll know it ' s none other than good old Al. I ' ll Be Slipping Back To You On My Old Banana Peel rates right at the top of her favorite songs. She is a faithful member of T.C.A. and S.F.S.S. Al was very thrilled when she was elected cheer- leader. Copy cats and J.S. playing Elvis records till 6:00 in the morning are Al ' s pet peeves. This gal was embarrassed one night in a certain park????? Ambition: Go to college, make those certain people proud and always be happy. erald Leonard Simmons . . . Jerry attended both Park Avenue and Norwalk before he came to Lincoln. Mr, Hoffmon and art are well liked by this red haired boy. He is a member of homeroom L.N. and pals with Dick, John, Dan, and Bob. He says Green Door and Love Me Tender are his favorite songs and Holy Cow is his favorite saying. Red claims his only talent is keep- ing out of work and his hobby is standing on the corner. His biggest thrill will be graduation. Ambition: To be a test pilot in a jet factory. is a member of homeroom L.N. ' Jim claims his favorite song is True Love and his favorite quotation is Boom Chick; Ricky Tick. Hi-Fi is his hobby and his talent is playing drums in Dixie Six. He has been a member of H.R. 1 18 and was presi- dent of the senior student council and president of this senior class. This cute guy with brown hair has won three letters in swimming and two in tennis. His biggest thrill is yet to come and his clubs include De Molay, S.SS.R. , O.D.S., and A.U. Jim pals with Jim, John, Ron, Larry, Bill, and Steve. Ambition: To graduate from Iowa State College i Marie Smith . . . Jo claims she was soo embarrassed ne day in history when she fell sleep. Tell me, space ace seen to be her fav it, ' rved on home- mokmg staff and was a majorette for three years. She claims her tal- ents are keeping Al and Judy awake at T.C.A. slumber parties while her hobbies are eating, loafing, and boys. Jo is a faithful member of T.C.A., J.U.G.S., F.R.U.M.P.S. and G.E.N. From Nash to Lincoln came this brown haired boy, better known as Ned. He pals with Larry Tossin and David Wheeler. Mr. Simmons is his favorite teacher and auto me- chanics is his favorite subject. He likes to hear Butterfly and Young Love when it comes to music. He claims loafing as his only talent and watching T.V. as his hobby. Don Reyes . . . Dan , a member of homeroom L.N., came to Lincoln from Park Avenue. Though he claims English as his fav- orite subject, he claims he likes all of his teachers. Dan can be heard saying What ' s the trouble? and is seen with Carter, Simmons, and Dur- ham. He served on sen counci I two semesters, h songs are Soft Summer I Young Love and his talent able to get to class on breaking the four minute mile. Dan is a loyal member of L.O.A. F.E.R.S., P.I.T., and C.H.U.C.K.L.E.S. and his hobbies are archery, hunting, fishing, and cars. His biggest thrill will be graduation. Ambition: To be a success in this world. Judith Ann Reynolds . . . Jud hails from Park A a member of H. R. 211. She pals with Doreen, Barb, Brenda, and the rest of the gang. Her favorite quo- tation is O Kee Doo Kee. Renys favorite song is Honky Tonk. Judy is a member of K.K.K., R.A.T., S.A. M , and C.Y.F. Her hobbies are cer- tain parties and missing busses. Judy has lettered in tennis and swimming. Her pet peeve is two faced people! ' Her biggest thrill will be to graduate from nurses training. Ambition: To become a nurse. John Rae Rice . . . John is a member of homeroom L.N. and comes to us from Maple Grove This boy with the brown hair like; commercial law though he favors nc teacher. He says his favorite quota- tion is Makes you wonder, don t it? ' He can be seen with Allen and Wayne. Young Love and Love Me are his favorite songs and his hobby is doting Margaret. He is a loyal member of S-K.U-N.K.S. and his biggest thrill will be graduation. Ambition: To be a success. Doreen Kay Rife . . . Rifey comes to us from Adams and can be found in H. R. 211. You can always hear her saying Forget it while you can see her with Jan- ice, Judy and Brenda. Doi us her favorite songs are Moonglow and Day By Day. Riff Raff seems to have the talent of running out of gas, while her hobbies are boys, sleeping, and more boys. Doreen lettered once in tennis. Her biggest thrill will come in the future. Her pet peeves ore nosey people and people who carry grudges. Ambition: To get married and al- ways be happy. Verne LeRoy Robey, Jr. . . . LeRoy hails from Central Ward Centerville, Iowa, and is now a ber of homeroom L.N. He can be seen with Art, Wayne, and Phil and his favorite saying is Why did you do it? His favorite subject is auto mechanics. This brown haired boy says his favorite songs are Tiger Lily and Cindy. Cars, eating, and sleeping take up his time when he isn ' t trying to pass Miss Holmes ' tests. His biggest thrill will be grad- uation. Ambition: To be successful Lorerta Kay Roth . . . Ratty comes from Park Avenue and is in H. R. 211. Mr. Wood rates as her favorite teacher and she pals with Becky, Judy, Vicki, Nancy, Sally, Sharon, and Sue. Changing Partners rates high on her list of favorite songs. She is a faithful member of W.Y.F. and B.M.A. while her services are nurse ' s staff four semesters and student council two semesters. Lor- etta tells us she was quite em- barrassed a certain night with Becky. Her hobbies include writing to Linda and her biggest thrill is yet to come. Ambition: To get my R.N. and go to Hawaii. Sally Jo Roth . . . Red can be seen with Betty, Judy, Loretta, Vicki, Helen, and the rest of the gang while she can be found in H.R. Library North. She can be heard saying What ' s your troubles Bubbles? Her favorite songs ore Singing The Blues, and Young Love. Sally has the unusual talent of trip- ping people and managing to fall herself. Her hobbies are roller skat- ing with Betty and she belongs to O.M.C., Green Door and Pep Club. She seems to have to many em- barrassing moments to mention. Sally is a member of secretarial staff. Ambition: Make my mother proud of me in whatever I do. Ray Allen Rouse . . . This brown-haired boy comes to us from Urbandale and hails from homeroom 211. Ray can be seen with Jim, John, Jack, and Bob. His favorite teacher is Mr. Stone and his favorite subject is math. The Old Master Painter is his favorite song and Everyone can do something is his favorite quotation. Ray ' s hobbies include golf and bowling and his talent is running backwards. He has been a cashier in the cafe for three semesters and his biggest thrill was passing his track physical. His sports letters include one in spring track and two in cross country track. His clubs are R.U.T.H.I.E.S., H.E.M. S., and A.A.U. Ambition: To become a wildlife pho- tographer. Gordon Russell . . . This nice looking boy is in Home Room 211. He seems to be a faithful member of I. S. H. and B.U.M.S. His favorite subject is history while his favorite teacher is Miss Holmes. Young Love rates high on his list of songs. Gordon ' s hobbies are basketball and eating and his pet peeve is girls. He can usually be heard saying What do you think about the situation. Gordon was out for basketball and he has been working as a page for State Legislature. Ambition: Be happy and have nds. ames Robert Ryals . . . Jim hails from Washington and is a member of H.R. 235. Mr. Wood rates high on his list of teachers while study hall Is his favorite sub- ject. Jim pals with Wayne P., Dan R., and Bob S. Jim ' s favorite songs are Young Love and Love Me. His talent is sleeping and eating, his hobbies are auto-racing and sleeping and he is a faithful member of G.I. R.L.S. Jim can always be heard say- ing Well, I ' ll be a son of a gun. Raymond Merle Smith . . . This brown haired guy came to us from Army Post. Ray is a member of homeroom 233. He claims Mr. Wood is his favorite teacher and bookkeeping is his favorite subject. He pals with Don, Harvey, Ronnie, Frank, Phil, Earl, and Terry. He can be heard saying How about that ' and Sneaky! His favorite songs are Rapsody In Blue and Revels Bo- leno. He claims his talent and hob- bies are eating and sleeping. Ray belongs to L.O.A.F.E.R.S. and claims his biggest thrill is yet to come. Ambition: To be a C.P.A. Phillip Ralph Speck . . . Phil came to us from Willard grade school and now is a faithful member of homeroom 233. Miss Holmes rates high on his list of teachers, while wood shop is his favorite subject. This blond haired lad can usually be seen with Ray, Don, Harvey, Bob, Dennis and Ron- nie. His favorite songs are A Rose And A Baby Ruth and If You Don ' t Kn ow. Phil participates in senior chorus and boys glee club. His hob- bies are hunting, fishing and girls while his clubs are B.U.M.S., K.A.T. $., L.O.A.F.E.R.S. Phil ' s talent is playing the guitar. His biggest thrill is yet to come. Ambition: Go into the Air Force and do well, and always have a lot of friends. Richard W. Spencer . . . Richard came to us from Bird school and is now a faithful member of homeroom 233. This brown haired lad can be seen with Larry, Bob, Ben, and John. Mr. Stone and Mr. Wood are his favorite teachers while chem- istry is his favorite subject. Richard ' s clubs are D.C.D., R.S.T.P.V. and his favorite songs are Love Me Tender and Green Door. His biggest thrill will be graduation. Ambition: To be a success at what- ever he does. jsan Arlene Statler . . . Sue came to us from Park Avenue. She has brown hair and blue eyes and is in H.R. 233. She can always be seen with Mimi, Janet, Pat, Kay and Joan. Well, I was just gonna say and You better believe it can always be heard when Sue is around. Saying the wrong thing at the wrong time seems to be one of Sue ' s tal- ents. Sue enjoys swimming, bowling and going to the Pizza House. Clubs include M.I.J.. M.I.N.N.I.E.S., B.B.O., T.B.C., P.l.Z.Z.A. She is embarrassed to go to the Pizza House and her pet peeves are people who get mad over nothing, people who lie, and two- faced girls Ambition: To be loved by one and liked by all. Nancy Jane Sullivan . . . Nancy comes from H. R. 233 and Army Post school. Her many services include junior and senior student councils, library staff, and offices of secretary and vice president of the staff. She can always be seen with Carm, Vicky, Becky, Judy, Helen and the rest of the gang. September Song and Young Love rate tops on her list of songs. Her hobby is going to games with the gang. Nancy claims she is a faithful member of Green Door. (How about that Nan- cy!) Her talent seems to be talking m the library. Her biggest thrill was being elected class treasurer. Ambition: To be a success in what- ever I do and have many friends. Carol Marie Thomas . . . Kinky came to us from Washing- ton, and her homeroom is 233. She has brown hair and pals with Carol, Donna, Judy, Sharon, Delores, Pat, and Anise. Honestly is her favorite quotation while her hobbies are driv- ing and reading. Her clubs include T.T.A., O.M.A.A., CD. J., S.W.P.U. Her pet peeve is people who act smart and she claims her embarrass- ing moment is too embarrassing to mention. Beyond The Sunset is her favorite song and her biggest thrill will be graduation. Ambition: To have many friends and be a friend. Joninne L. Thompson . . . Jockie came to us from Howe and is in homeroom 233. Her favorite teacher is Miss Sutter and her favor- ite subiect is English. Jackie can be seen with Becky, Sue and Loretta. Lay Down Your Arms, Wish You Were Here and Danny Boy are tops on her list of records. Joninne has served on nurse ' s staff, junior stu- dent council and was in senior chor- us. Did I get a letter today? is her favorite saying. She claims her talent is opening her mouth at the wrong time. This cute brown haired gal ' s hobbies are writing letters and keeping a scrapbook. She is a mem- ber of F.N.C., W.Y.F., girls glee club, Jr. Y-Teens, and Rainbow. Jackie says her biggest thrill will be be- coming a R.N. Ambition: Make my parents proud of me and be a friend to everyone. Norman Fred Timmons . . . This blonde, blue-eyed boy came from Park Avenue and can be found in H. R. 233. Toe-head can usually be seen with the guys in P.A.G. His talent is singing?? and his favorite songs are Young Love and Teen-Age Promise. Norm ' s hobbies are shining boots, eating and sleeping while his clubs are P.A.G. , B.E.A.S., M.I. N.N. I.E.S. He has received two letters in football and three in track. Nor- man ' s biggest thrill was being elected captain of the football team. Police- men seem to embarrass Norm after being caught by two of them at the airport. Norm ' s pet peeves are R.H. S. and W.S. Ambition: Be happy and have a mil- lion dollars. Robert Glen Tomlinson . . . Bob hails from Army Post and is now a faithful member of homeroom 233. This brown haired, blue eyed lad favors Mr. Stone and Mr Gra- bau as his teachers and biology as his favorite subject. He can be seen with Harv, Terry, Bob C, Dave, Jim, and John. He has participated in track and lettered twice in swim- ming. He belongs to L.O.A.F.E.R.S. and his hobbies are fishing, swim- ming, and hunting.
