es Potts pombe 1948 seemed to he Lincolnis year for sports. Coach Gardner and his gridders Finished the season ahove the SOOWJ marli. Losing only one game this sea- son and tying another, Lincoln finished the rest of the games in victory. This marlc was set with the aid of some outstanding Railsplitter players. SENIORS Graduating this January are Diclc Delmege, Dean Trent, and Francis Riggle, who placed on the all-city Football Teams. Diclc Ruston, Francis Riggle, and Dean Trent toolc lnerths on the first team, while Diclc Delmege was tilling a position on the sec- ond team. These are just a few who have helped malce the vic- tory flag ily more frequently. Coach Gardner will he without the help oi twelve gridders next falt due to graduation. GRAAFF REBUILDS Coach Graaff has a tvig jola ahead of rebuilding the swimming team, hecause he has only four letter winners haclc, plus a lot ot determined sophomores a nd juniors. COLFERS Nlr. Ntorgenthaler and .his hoys' golf team escaped this sea- son, loeing just one stroke short of the city championship. The girls, golf also toolc a second place spot. TENNIS lVliss Ehers with lrer tennis team didn,t finish the season on top, hut they were on the verge of rehuilding a new team. SECGNDS Coach Talarico and his sec- ond team claims a season with only one cleteat. This placed them second in the city among the second teams.
