Lewis Ross, now president oi the Television Corporation is now spending the weelc-end in his old home town, Des iVloines, lowa. Lloyd Cool: and Vvalter Gale are now million- aires and are talcing a much needed vacation at their yachting cluh in Florida. Suddenly, l awolce to the realization that their lives were still ahead of them and all were loolcing toward the future, hoping to fulllill all their hopes, dreams and wishes. New Athletic Field Dreams do come true, stated many Lincoln- ers when they saw the new athletic field near completion east of the stadium. The field will he in two parts. The south part will he regular hard loasehall Field and foothall practice field. The north end will contain softhall diamond and scrimmage practice field. This Field will enahle Lincoln to have a hasehall team. New in the ilield of sports are the new Hood lights installed last fall on the ioothall tield. Ad- ditional loleachers were placed to talce care of the overtlow crowd coming to the night games. ' Brings Honor fo Lincoln All honors go to Vvarner lVlcConnell whose sonnet, HiVlonarch of the Slcyn won first place in the city poetry contest. The sonnet, written as an English 7 assign- ment, carries the theme that the eagle is the ruler of the slcy. It was puhlished in the Novemher '15 issue oi the regular Rail. An assemhly, at which an award was given him, was held Decemher 7. Homecoming Loolcing loaclq, we found one of the outstand- ing activities of the present ending semester, was the annual Lincoln high homecoming. Ethelyn Ahrahamson was chosen as queen to reign over the activities with Coralie Hull, Beverly Fletcher, Delores Wineland, and Mickey Chiodo as her court. The crowning of the queen hy Mr. Walter Besley started the festivities of the evening on Fri- day, Septemher 27.
