Uafzsitrl Reading hack through the pages of our diary we found the records of all the foothall games. Under the direction of Emil A. Klumpar, just released from the armed forces, the team had a new spirit and a Willingness to fight. Practicing under the new flood lights until late in the even- ing, undergoing new drills and having many hard workouts were only some of the hardships the team underwent. .laclc Cherry's droplriclcing proved to he a main attraction while Dean Trent's running and the hloclring of Charles Caligiuri and Roloert Hortons were noth- ing short of sensational. uchopu and Bohn were chosen on the all-city first team, so their efforts were rewarded in the end. Dean Trent was chosen on the second team and George Hall, Boh Ben- skin and Jack Cherry were on the 860149 66144 Lincoln,s second team closed the 1046 -season with four games won and two games lost. This was the most successful season since 19110. Under the direction of Mr, Franlc Talarico the usecondsn worlced hard and long for the glory they now deserve to have. They were defeated hy Roosevelt. and tied with East.
