Providing a friendly spirit hetween the schools, the Lincoln senior choirs and soloists appeared at East high school May 7, while the East high musicians appeared at Lincoln in an exchange assemhly, May 8. The East program included numloers hy the a capella choir, the loovs' quartet, and the girls' sextet. The director ol the East program was Miss Sigrid Greenhill. The Lincoln assernloly at East, which was di- rected loy Mrs. B. Pearl Nlapel, included Vocal solos hy Michey Chiodo and Bch Dippert, Marian Simpson played Chopin's Polonaise in A flat on the piano. The choir also sang several numhers. Still in the tield of music, several awards were received lay Lincoln students in the national led- eration of music clutms, held at Dralce University, April 8. Receiving the highest rating. superior, Were lvliclcey Chiodo and Bolo Dippert in voiceg and Ralph Caponigro and Jeannette Bierma in piano. Another superior rating Was given to Shirley and Jeannette Bierma in a piano duet numher. Anna Ruston, vocal, and Shirley Matson, piano, both received excellent ratings. ln the state contest, April 22, lvliclcey Chiodo and Bolo Dippert received excellent ratings.
