GIRLS' SPORT This year under the able leadership of Miss Hansen and Miss VVatson who were well assisted by the sports managers, our girls teams have enjoyed many contacts with Union. We have com acted a ainst them at soccer, vollevball and l . t . basketball and althou h we are not alwavs victorious we have alwavs ilaved ' , 7 . . a good game and have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. NY e contemplate a success- ful softball season within our classes and hope to finish the year with an all class play day. Our athletic activities have been expanded to include archery and tennis. Both are fine sports which have gained in popularity among the girls who are as enthusiastic about individual or two man sports as they are about team games. YVe also hope to supplement our speedball knowledge by experience and to incorporate a program of modern dance, During the winter season, in addi- tion to volleyball, we have also begun instruction in the proper methods of playing badminton and ping pong in the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grades. This year our Girls, Athletic Council was expanded and a larger number of girls were chosen for this group. A Leaderis Club was also formed taking the place of Officialis Club. These revisions have proved very effective assets to the girls' sports program. Girls' Sports Club has been an important part of our high school lives and we shall always remember the fun we had and the friendships we made in the four wonderful ears which now are comin f to a close.
