Foreign Students Organize lnternation Relations Club Newly organized on ABAC's campus this year was the International Relations Club. This club is an independent, non-secret organization whose purpose is to promote scholarship and to provide its members with a better understanding of the American culture and to provide Americans with a better understanding of the cultures represented in the membership of this club. IRC has been on several trips this year. Some of the places visited were Cape Kennedy, the Universities of Georgia and Florida at vvhich some of these students will further their education. Attracts Business Majors Phi Beta Lambda Business majors in Phi Beta Lambda stayed busy with projects set as goals for the year. They sponsored a candy sale and helped with the cancer drive on campus. ln a trip to state convention, members competed with other schools in such activities as speaking, vocabulary, Miss Future Business Executive, Mr. Future Business Executive, Chapter of the Year Award, largest chapter membership, best chapter exhibit, parliamentary procedure contest and spelling contest. Phi Beta Lambda is set up to give confidence to members and teaches them to compete honorably with their associates. lt encourages scholarship and helps develop qualities that vvill enable members to participate ehfectively in business. Engaging in individual and group projects of a business nature and recognizing outstanding leadership abilities is also a major function.
