High School Penn ylvania 74 any 7044 Wane Same Dear Jim: Here is your school-Abington Senior High. While you have been away defend- ing this great country of ours, we have tried to preserve those traditions and standards that you remember as Abing- ton's. The world was at war when we en- tered these halls, now we are going forth to make secure that peace which over 1800 former Abingtonians aided in bring- ing about. We graduates have been pre- paring to take our places in the post- war world-educating our minds, build- ing our bodies with sports, filling our leisure profitably with music, dramatics, art, and publications. We did what we could to help the war effort-selling bonds, working in hospit- als, taking war jobs. Fellows went into service right out of our classes-some never to come back. Yet we haven't changed, Jim. We still rush madly for the lunch line and buses, twosomes still walk the track, we still crowd the gym for rallies and yell at games. Yes, itis still the same old school, Jim. Turn the pages and you will see.
