The Dramatic Club, on November 30 and De- cember 1, gave its version of the melo- drama, PURE AS THE DRIVEN SNOW, full of intrigue, romance, and contemplated murder, with the evil villain trying to abduct the helpless Purity. She was, of course, rescued in the nick of time by brave Leander Longfellow, and Mortimer Frothingham received his just punish- ment. This was the first major Dramatic Club production in several seasons. We seniors selected the popular com- edy, YoU CAN,T TAKE IT WITH YoU. What a crazy h o u s e h old that was! Snakes, fireworks, Russians, and income tax collectors created havoc in the Van- derhof home, ruled by happy-go-lucky Grandpa Vanderhof, whose philosophy of life was not to work or worry about mon- ey but to have as much fun as you could. Herb Chandlee really gave an unusually fine performance as Grandpa, but the whole cast was excellent. Sorry you couldn't be here to see it! DRAMATHI
