fAPPY BIRTHDAY ABINGTON The class of 1987 would like to take this time to wish Abington a happy birthday. This year the town of Abington turns 275 years old. The town has a varied and colorful history, from the 18th century when Abington encompassed the areas of present day Abington. Whitman, and Rockland to the days of the Civil War when Abington factories produced half the shoes worn by Union soldiers. We wish Abington continued success and prosperity for the future. As time goes by many of us will move on to continue our , but many of us will remain in Abington to build our future. We all, however, have memories of Abington that will last forever.
