SUPERINTENDENT MR. MILTON C. BLANCHARD : ASS’T. SUPERINTENDENT MR. LEONARD G. PALOPOLI PRINCIPAL A. GIANOULIS Principal's Message e Congratulations Seniors — At this moment you have attained another level in the pattern of life, — you have given twelve years to the search for those fundamental truths and skills so necessary to the individual in his role as a member of a God-fearing, democratic society. Your search, however, is not at an end — indeed, it is just commencing — you will continue to search on higher levels of education and in the larger and more complex world of daily experience until you have grasped sufficient truths to fulfill on a high moral and spiritual plane the obligation of man to man and to society. It is your duty to continue the search for truth begun in these formative years — Your search for truth, then, must continue and endure no matter the sacrifice! And now at this moment, as Principal of Abington High School, and on behalf of the faculty that has guided you in your search over the years, I com- mend you for your achievement and express the hope that happiness, wisdom, and understanding will be your constant companions as you go through life. Pause now and then and recall your days at Abington High School; just as those whom you leave behind will constantly remember and think with deep affection and con- cern of the members of the class of nineteen hundred and sixty. In the words of J. G. Holland, let me Say in parting. God give us men. A time like this demands Strong minds, great hearts, true faith and ready hands! ” GOD BLESS YOU. 5

The best citizens and most responsible adults will be produced by the best high school and under rhe best guidance; good work will be done only where an atmosphere has been created for it. We, the class of I960, have realized the importance of our high school years and wish to remember them as they were. Our attempt has been to capture and preserve in this yearbook the character of Abington High School and its students. Harry G. Stoddard Editor-in-Chief 4
