PROGRESS far ABILENE SCHOOLS is their MOTTO Mrs. T. E. Roberts Mrs. T. E. Roberts, even though having been busily engaged with educating her three children, has shared her time and thoughts with all the school children of Abilene for ten years as a member of the school board. She has also included in her full schedule time as the superintendent of the adult Sunday School in her church and to work in the Woman's Club. Mr. Morgan Jones, Jr. Two of Abilene's greatest institutions, the Chamber of Commerce and the School Board, call Mr. Jones, presi- dent. The Abilene Classroom Teachers dubbed him the schools' greatest friend, a fitting title for such a busy citizen. Also receiving a full share of his attention are his family, his church, and his investment business. Mr. Bert Chapman Leaving his appliance business to carry on his civic activities is a daily occurrence for Mr. Chapman. One may find him attending a meeting of one of the 'Follow ing: the Kiwanis Club, the YMCA, the Taylor County Chapter for Infantile Paralysis, the Hardin-Simmons Exes Club, or the school board. He has served the latter for five years.
