Odessa grabbed a first half lead on a pass, but after the second half opened, Harrison faded back and passed to Buford, for a touchdown. Following this, Vletas blocked a punt, which was covered by Daniel for the Eagles. This gave the Eagles their second opportunity to score, and score they did when Billy Murphey plunged three yards to pay-dirt. Dillingham again kicked the extra point. BAILEY End-145 GUY DANIEL Guard--I 75 Tackle-200 ABILENE 25--MIDLAND I9 Scoring one touchdown in the second quarter, one in the third quarter, and two in the remaining period, the Abilene Eagles beat the Midland Bull- dogs 25-19, At the half, the score was l9-6 tor Midland, but the Warbird Warriors would not give up, for as the second halt opened, Harrison ran thirty-tive yards for a touchdown, then on o quarterback sneak scored again. The next tally was made by Terry on a sprint around end. This was the last Eagle score. The Bulldogs threatened twice, but were stopped outside the ten-yard line. The star ot the game was Marion Grant, lineman, and sparkplug tor the whole team. The winning of this game kept the Eagles a perfect conference standing.
