The members of the Sons and Daughters of Legionnaires sought to preserve memories and incidents of the World War and to promote patriotism, peace, and good citizenship among the students ot Abilene High School. Besides upholding these principles, the club assisted in selling poppies before Memorial Day. During the spring the initial payment was made on a plague memorializing the World 'War dead. At club meetings, first aid and the activities oi other Iunior Red Cross clubs were studied. With the money received trom a drive tor membership in the Iunior Red Cross, the students bought much needed glasses tor some high school boys and girls.
