prickly pear abilene Christian college abilene, texas 1970 edition wisdom is walking in the woodlands viewing nature’s handiwork wisdom is adjoining of two hearts wisdom is resting by a roaring fire reading from the master craftsmen of language wisdom is watching children play as they begin life’s journey wisdom is listening to unspoken thoughts uttered through pleading eyes the key to wisdom lies in silent observation , acc, 1969-70 Silently we observed the triumphant first steps of Neil Armstrong upon the moon, and we felt very human and very American. We listened to unspoken thoughts uttered through pleading eyes and experienced the joys of helping man- kind. We knew our response to thousands of starving brothers in Biafra must be from the heart—so we gave money to buy them food. It was the spirit of Christ which motivated our attitudes and actions. Searching for our places in life, we formed an ethnic relations forum, tutored children through the YMCA, conversed in small groups, worshipped at a house church, and reached a personal resolution.
