The James A. Harding Literary Society It is the purpose of the Harding Literary Society to develop its members men- tally, morally, and physically. We invite all students of the school who are “Work- ers” to join us but we have no place for “Shirkers.” It is not our desire to be the “Biggest” but we are striving to be the “Best,” and you will always find the Hardings full of “Pep” and ready to work We have been represented in every form of Athletics, in the essay contest, in the reading contest, and in the oratorical contest. The Erisophian-Ophelian Federation of Texas Societies, of which we are a member, met this year at Decatur. We sent, two representatives. One of our mem- bers was chosen president of the Federation. The annual meet is to be held at . C. C. i ’23. The Harding Lyceum work which was begun last year has been continued throughout this year also, and a number of splendid programs have been rendered at various towns in the surrounding country.
