The Aberdeen Pep Club consisted of 37 girls who scream- ed, yelled, sat through rain and cold hoping that AHS would win. With a lot of hard work and dedication they really looked GREAT! They all worked hard but had fun too. It was a terrific year. Mrs. Ure did a FANTASTIC job as the advisor and made it fun! Ginger Duffin was pres., Cheyrl Pratt was vice pres., Lisa Shackelford was sec., and Sandra Bradley was treasurer, they all tried to do the best they could and make everything look great while trying to make everyone happy. It turned out to be an exciting year for the whole school. The Pep Club members all showed their spirit and tried to help out the team as much as possible. We all appreciate you. The Queen was Ghana Schelske, escorted by Jeff Duffin. Ghana’s attendents were Cheryl Pratt, escorted by Russell Mayer; Amber Schelske, escorted by Troy Ilharreguy; and Nichole Cornforth, escorted by Shane Oldfield. Coronation was held during half time of the football game and at the Homecoming dance handled beautifully by the Pep Club under the direction of Ginger Duffin and Lisa Shackleford. The Homecoming game was exciting and full of action. Everyone was full of spirit and Tiger Pride, even though the Tigers were defeated by the Preston Indians. Chuck Cary was named M.V.P. for the 1986 Homecoming football game.
