Forty seventh grade boys participated in the 1951 -52 basketball season.

L The final standings would seem to indicate this is rather a lean year for the Abbott eighth graders. If .ludged on the basis of wins and losses this is probably true. However, with no less than 48 boys contributing to the welfare ofthe four teams, one can readily see there was no lack of interest in this group. The same is indicated by the many loyal followers and cheerleaders who backed the boys at each game. It should be recorded that this was certainly a season of exciting ball games, many being settled by one or two points. In Fact, Abbott teams were involved in four overtime games, which is probably a record. UN FRULIC The annual Fun Frolics stunt show, sponsored by the speech and music departments, under the direction of Mrs. Marge Radloff and Miss Ellagene Morgan, was presented on the nights of February 28 and 29. First prize winner was Seasons in Review, second prize went to Abe Lincoln , while third and fourth went to Beauty Parlor and Four Freedoms respectively. Other acts pictured are Atlantic City and Minstrel Show .
