L The final standings would seem to indicate this is rather a lean year for the Abbott eighth graders. If .ludged on the basis of wins and losses this is probably true. However, with no less than 48 boys contributing to the welfare ofthe four teams, one can readily see there was no lack of interest in this group. The same is indicated by the many loyal followers and cheerleaders who backed the boys at each game. It should be recorded that this was certainly a season of exciting ball games, many being settled by one or two points. In Fact, Abbott teams were involved in four overtime games, which is probably a record.
