Mrs. Marge Radloff sponsors the Speech Club which numbers one hundred twenty' students. The club activities for the year have been many and varied. The annual initiation party was held in the fall at which a circus theme was featured. At Thanksgiving, the club presented an assembly program of one-act plays and at Christmas took an important part in the Cantata. The January-Jig, all school dance, was a club activity in January while the annual Fun-Frolics were held in February. The One-Act plays and the Chicago trip were big events of the spring season. The Blue and Gold staff has attemped to bind to- getherin this book the pleasant memories of the school year-memories to treasure in years to come. Members of the staff are Darlene Rohrssen, Nancy Garrison, JimAnderson, PhyllisGenz, Judy Junge, Bill Hopkins, Sharon Hinch, Bruce O'Connell, Barb Kranwinkle, Bob Weiss, Bill Anderson, Beverly Way. Mrs. Hoke is the sponsor. The Aikin studio and Mr. Mades took the pictures, and Mrs. Van Arsdale was the art adviser. The Scoop staff, sponsored by Miss Dunn, meets each Wednesday noon to prepared the paper for monthly publication. Activities during the year included the Christmas dance, a trip through a business firm fol- lowed by o luncheon where letters were awarded to ninth grade members, a Valentine party, anda theater party. Barb Kranwinkle was the editor, Lyle Herschlag was feature editor, and sports editor was Bill Streit. Wendy Withers, a member of the staff, was ill when the picture was taken. Z6
