Russell, Hughes, Cooper, DuBois [44] The Student Government is the group of girls, headed this year by Lish Cooper, who take part in the administration of the school. They represent the stu- dent body where the Rating System, election of student offi- cers, and maintenance of Abbot standards are concerned. The underlying aim of the Student Government in addition to main- taining discipline and school spirit, is to develop in the stu- dents a sense of responsibility for those about them. This vear our particular aim has been to strengthen the Rating System, and to let a larger number of students participate in the school government.
