Dedication In 1968, a grand lady who is now considered a “fixture” at AHS became a j Contracted Services Typist for the Vermilion Parish School Board, her first job ! after her family was grown enough to be away from home, either as breadwinners I for themselves or as students spending all day in halls of learning. This efficient worker was promoted on Oct. 30, 1969, to a secretarial post I at AHS, a job she mastered single-handedly for several years until school growth I justified hiring front office assistance. A second secretary and a bookkeeper hired I since agree that this fine lady is the backbone of that department. And she has been more than a secretary to the AHS community. She is a I best friend and consultant to the administration and staff, a willing helper to the faculty, and a mother to student office workers and the student body in Mrs. Mildred Guidry general. I In appreciation of the cooperation, the love, the compassion, and the dedication this grand lady has given AHS, the staff, with respect and admiration, dedicates this 1980 edition of the Wildcat to Mrs. Mildred Guidry. 3
