IN APPRECIATION of his ability to make our major problems seem minor, and of his philosophy that student and teacher are really each other's best friend, and of his manner of applying a psychology that guides a real value in personal relationships, and of his being a dedicated servant to education, spawned by an enviable understanding of young people, and of his devotion to his counseling responsibilities, and of his being a warm, compassionate human being and friend, the yearbook staff sincerely dedicates the 1972 Wildcat to u Mr. Earle J. Faculty When students met Miss Walker, they en- countered more than a youthful dedication in a commerce department and a coaching know- how on the girls’ basket- ball courts. They en- countered a Barbie doll type of beauty, grace, and friendship, a lady who projects a pure, wholesome, and enjoyable personality which students embrace as a cross between bubble gum and soda pop, each at one time or another a favorite refreshment. Therefore, it was only natural that she be voted favorite female teacher at our school. Saluting that sound student body decision, the yearbook staff wishes her many enjoyable years in our midst. Mr. Harold Sellers Miss Charlotte Walker His mere presence in the malls gives Abbe- ville High School a par- ticular stature. Here he plays his award- winning role, that of a teacher who fascinates classroom after classroom of youngsters with an enviable manner of teaching geometry and General Math II plus the skills and values of happy living. In good times or bad. the demand for his friendship and understanding becomes almost larger than his ability to supply. His display of these qualities has made Prof Sellers, for the fourth consecutive year, the favorite male faculty member by majority vote of the student body. Indeed, it is not by force of habit that the yearbook staff again congratulates him. 16 Favorites
