As we have served in our music department, the committee has endeavoured to produce music that would focus our attention on the great truth of Christianity. Our specific duties have included arranging music for chapel and Christian Service, planning recitals, care of music, and aid to our director in producing “Gloria” by A. Vivaldi and “St. Luke Passion” by J. S. Bach. Our project for this year has been partial payment for our Baldwin organ. There is music which glorifies art, music which glorifies the artist, and music which appeals to sentiment and emotion. Our desire has been to produce music to the glory of God. James 1:22 “Be ye doers of the word.” We as a committee thank God for the opportunity and privilege of being a witness and testimony to the com¬ munity in the various aspects of practical Christian service. Various groups serve at the Bethel Hospital with singing and visitations. Singing groups also serve at the Salem Home in Winkler and in the Tabor Home in Morden. Fourteen of our students are also active in teaching seven Good News Clubs, sponsored by Child Evangelism Fel¬ lowship, three in Winkler, three in Morden and one in V alleyfield. Several of our students are again conducting two children’s choirs in the village of Osterwick. Our aim, this year, was to share with the commun ity that which we have learned and it is our prayer that through all these activities someone has been drawn closer to Christ. On behalf of the committee I would like to thank all the teachers and students who have helped us make this service a success.
