A.M.C.C. Points to Career Opportunities Under the supervision of Miss Mc- Cracken, Allied Medical Careers Club has again provided interested students the opportunity to learn more about the medical field. Speakers from Memorial Hospital, Family Service, and other areas helped to inform the members. A field trip to a factory in Geneva which specializes in acoustics for the deaf and a visit to Geneva Hospital highlighted the year. Other activities included the entering of a car in the Homecoming Parade, a Christmas party, and a collec- tion of clothes and food for a needy family in Chicago. New officers were T initiated and members were honored at the May dinner in the faculty lounge. Silver Key Club Silver Key Club is a hostess club for sophomores, juniors, and seniors. lt is better known as the cookie baking club. The other projects include Alumni Tea, Open House, concessions, and flower sales. The club members have made the club a success with the help of the sponsors, Mrs. Haynes and Mrs. Jones. Distributive Education is a three-dimensional vocational cooperative part-time program in the field of marketing and distribution. Classroom instruction and activities are the first dimension, organized by the teacher-coordinator. The second dimension is the learning experience and training that is received on the job. The third dimension comprises the activities of Distributive Education Club. D.E. students receive one credit for in-class learning activities and one credit per semester for on-the-job training. D.E. activities include field trips, selling concessions, and conven- tions. At the end of the year, D.E. students hold their annual Employer-Employee Luncheon.
