The Show Goes On There is a feeling you get when you are on the stage, ask any Masque and Dagger member about it. With the many creative talents of Mr. .lay Dean Jones. hon- ored Masque and Dagger members once again were able to dive into the truly enriching world of drama. The students were chosen to participate in this organization based on their performance during their auditions. After becoming a member, the group explored the diverse field of theatrical work. Though this field is di verse, there is always a part for every- one. If one is fascinated by acting, one may choose to act in a play, do improvisations. skits, or pantomimes. Not all of the jobs to be had are in front of audiences. Behind the scenes is the Stage Crew. The Stage Crew is responsible for working the sound equipment, the lights and various aspects of putting a show together. The crew is under the direction of Mr. Jones also. The group meets first hour as a regular class to learn the technical aspects that must be known in order to carry out the needed responsibilities. The members are able to select which area they want to work and they become somewhat professional at what they do. The Masque and Dagger club experienced many thrills throughout the year. Many of the members will cherish their memories of the years spent as a member of such an inter- esting organization. ABOVE: Stage Crew. TOP ROW: Louis Roundtree, Tom Hubbard. Members Of H RO Club Feel And Act Like Viunners VICA Members Participate ln State VWde Competitions The Hero club certainly has alot to offer. The Home Economics Related Organizations club is designed for students who are interested in a home economics related career, Each member must have a part-time job in that field. This work program is worth three credits a year, but most of all the club gives its members a sense of well-earned achievement. The club partici- pates in many social and community service activities through- out the year. This year they prepared a Thanksgiving feast for a needy family and entered a tree into the Children 's Festival of Trees at Christmas time. 'Each member comes away from here feeling like, and knowing how to be a winner. said Mrs. Smith, club coordinator. VICA, which stands for Vocational Industrial Clubs of America, is a twenty-five member club that hehns to prepare each mem- ber for a career in industrial, technical, and health related occupations. All of the members are also in the ICE class and ha ve part-time jobs that serve in one of those three fields. The class has a study unit that overall teaches them how to be good employees, commented Larry Judd, club coordinator. Every year the club participates in various state- wide competi- tions which offer a variety of prizes, scholarships, and job opportunities. ln June they will attend the National Skill and Leadership competition. It will be in Phoenix and is predicted to be the largest competition ever. s . 'X , Y , , J' f S at, ' 5 - 'MN 'X Q ,. f -' k ' . .. Q X W H , t tv K va if Q P' wpsgixam...
