La Palma Staff Separates '68 From Other Years :,nm 6-.M Members of the 1967-1968 La Palma staff are fseatedj Clairjohnson, Yolanda Salinas, Barbara Graham, editorg Tania Knowles, Debbie King and Francisca Matamorosg fstandingj Raul Arredondo, Alan Smith, and Dean Burkett. Distributing the new 1966-67 La Palmas to students and faculty members are Debbie King and Clair Johnson, annual staff members. 160 What did happen in 1967-68? What made this school year different from all the other years that WHS has been in existence? Who were the people on campus- the students, the faculty members, the adminis- trators? To tell the story of 1967-68 at WHS ill story and picture, is the task that the La Palma staff seeks to fulfill each year, and the 1967-68 staff had an unusually eventful year to record. There was Hurricane Beulah, with its effect upon school schedules, activ- ities, and individual students. There was Sing Out 767-a demonstration for America in which about 300 students in the community participated. These and many other events may be recalled because the annual staffers worked late and long to record at least a mention of each school related activity- even study-during the year. -M-N..
