Returning lettermen Dave Cobb, Pan Fanaritis, and Larry Maxwell take the first three places In the mile run at Youngsville. are the nucleus of the track team. For several years Warren High has been very strong in the track and field sports, and this year was no exception. Early in March the track team started vigorous calisthenics and distance running in order to get in shape for a highly competitive season. Warren ex- pected a fine showing from its entries in the distance events, and these expectations were more than justified. Also, Warren was strong in the field events this year. As in the past, the Section II meet took place at Corry and the district meet at Meadville. Track is a sport in which individual Work really pays off, as proved this year by the Dragon track team.
