Johnson, Jr., has been principal of Virginia Beach High School since 1952. He holds a B.A. Degree from East Carolina College and a Masters Degree from the University of North Carolina. He did other graduate work at William and Mary College. He is married to the former Alice Roberson of Hertford, North Carolinag they have three daughters Ruth, Laura, and Jo. Mr. Johnson and family reside at 207 Cavalier Drive, Virginia Beach, Virginia. Mr. Johnson who has been active in civic affairs, is a member of the Virginia Beach Rotary Club and the Presbyterian Church.
