The Matchmaker table scene with julia Becker, Dennis Norman, Walter Miller, Bob Bauer, Lautal Eshman. Bob Borlick gives the eye over Seth Mosley's shoulder in The Matchmaker. University Players THE MATCHMAKER has been called the funniest farce of the nineteenth century. Ruth Beall starred in the title role as a vivacious widow who pretended to advise a wealthy merchant in finding a wife. Seth Moseley starred as the misetly merchant who was presently interested in a Winsome millenery, portrayed by julie Becker. Set in the 1800's the play provided the actors with much opportunity for clowning of the type known as low comedy. Brought back from the era when this kind of theatrical romp delighted earlier generations, it becomes novelty entertainment for the audience of today. Formal stage scene with B. Bauer, L. Eshman, B. Ernst, J. Owen, P. Borlick, C. Mac Millan, D. Hamburg, J. Becker, W. Miller, R. Allenstin, S. Mosely, and R. Beall.

Chapel Committee 'lhe Chapel 'Committee consists of both students and faculty members. The main functions of the committee are discussion of the topics and special services to be 'pre- sented in chapel and the orgnnizing of chapel attendance for freshmen. T Top Row: Joan Dahl, Rev. Bertram, Sylvia Clarke. Robert Spurgat. 'F' 11 Student Guide Service The Student Guide Service consists of a number of helpful students who conduct tours for visitors to the campus. They con- duct small .groups who visit for a day, large groups of week-end visitors, and they offer special tours of the chahpel. Art Strohmer and Dot Stoeppelworth, co-directors of the Student Guide Committee. Credit Union Membership to the Credit Union is open td all students, faculty members and tun- ployees of the University. The purpose of the organization is to provide credit for its members. The association is governed by a board of directors elected by the member- ship. Mr. Hiller, Mr. Standly, J. Allen, R. Ienske, D. Gahl, D. Oberly, Mr. Hutchins.

Pat Astolos, Keith Honold, Sonja Schoenbohm, Mary Ann Banke Judy Eheim Ed Clifford Bob Lange Ruth Beaill Pat Zapf The Consul The Covzml by Gian-Carlo Menotti was presented through the combined efforts of the music department and the drama department. It was a bitter satire on bure- aucracy and dealt with the misfortunes that overtook the family of john Sorel who, because of his underground activities was forced to flee the country. john Sorel was played by Robert Lange, and the part of his wife, Magda, was played by Pat Zapf. The play centered around Magda as she attempted to obtain a visa. Menotti tried to capture the conversation of the world in the play by writing it in musical dialogue.
