With that in mind, I am confident of a better season this spring, stated Head Coach Pete Mazula at the start of the season. He feels that many of the players have matured a great deal from the faS season. Mazda said the team should show an equal balance from the number one to seven positions. Last season's squad which won its first thirteen matches, had five return- ees this season. Coach Mazula also counted on some newcomers for a successful season. We have a fine nucle- us for a good season, but we don't really have any one outstanding player on the team. The squad was an inexperi- enced one, but one that had Head Coach Ken Green cautiously optimistic about the season. He stated, We had a tough faH and could not find a set of five, but I am looking for improvement from an of our players. Green also stated. If we become more consistent, our team could become very competitive in the conference.
