MY CQLLEAGUES and I would be the last people in the world to suggest that there is any undue similarity between a manu- facturing process and the progress through the University course to graduation in Commerce. I think, though, that we might be permitted analogies drawn from our own work and terminology, although we would be most unhappy if other people were to use them. In this sense, then, I would say that we are very pleased with the quality control that we have achieved in this class of 1951. The raw material was excellent. It reacted Very favorably to processing stresses and has stood BQQQ ici? John B. Hollit B.A., M.A., Ph.D. Professor and Director of School of Commerce up well. In our opinion, and we should not be too prejudiced, it meets all standards of past performance. Another strong and prom- ising class has been added to the group of graduates who are doing so well in business, in the civil service, in the professions which they have entered after an undergraduate preparation in Commerce, and in public service as good citizens. In our short tradition, the graduates in Commerce have remained very close to their University and to their friends who are on its staff. We hope that this continues and that we progress together in experience and achievement.
