47 Awards Captured at State Solo and Ensemble Meet The THS marching band, under the direction of Mr. Cecil Trant- ham, put in long hours of practice and rehearsal to get the superior musical ability it has today. The band added spirit during our football season. The band marched on November 2, 1974, at Lafayette at a Marching Contest for Champi- ons. For their efforts, they were given a superior rating. Then, on November 9, 1974, the band trav- eled to Mansfield, to the last marching contest for the year. The band received a superior plus on that trip. A successful concert of area bands was sponsored by Tioga. Much recognition has been brought to Tioga for the fine work done by our band. TOP, LEFT TO RIGHT, FIRST ROW: Lower Brass, W. Brenner, J.
