W-4 Deaaaem The men of V-4 Division are real gassers. Their primary responsibility is for the delivery of clean, usable fuel to em- barked aircraft. Known as the Red Shirts, the V-4 ers oper- ate maintain and repair the Ti's mammoth aviation fuel system which is capable of receiving, stovving, Hltering and delivering both high performance AvGas and Jet Fuels. Although these men are scattered throughout the ship manning pump rooms, filter rooms, manifolds, fueling sta- tions and repair lockers, the division must function as a highly trained team during all fuel handling operations.
